I had the pleasure of staying at the Victoria Palace Hotel in Paris with my family from November 19 to 23, 2024, and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations.

The hotel has an outstanding reputation, and after my stay, I completely understand why. The most commonly praised aspects include its central location, impeccable service, and spacious rooms, especially for families. My Personal Experience

Our stay was nothing short of perfect. I traveled with my wife and two children, aged 11 and 13, and we stayed in the Family Rooms (611 and 612), which are interconnecting rooms with a private access corridor. I chose this hotel for four key reasons: Outstanding Reviews: Everything I had read online was confirmed during our stay. Family-Friendly Rooms: The solution provided by the hotel was ideal for a family, with two spacious rooms and two separate bathrooms. Prime Location: The hotel is situated in a safe and vibrant area, close to many amenities and public transportation. Value for Money: For what we received, the price was excellent, especially considering Parisian standards.

Rooms and Amenities

The rooms exceeded our expectations in every way. I initially expected the family rooms to be somewhat small, but they were remarkably spacious. The room my wife and I stayed in featured a king-size bed, a large wardrobe, and a luxurious bathroom. The children’s room had two single beds, plenty of space, and a perfectly equipped bathroom. The furnishings were beautiful, and the rooms were thoughtfully equipped with a Nespresso machine and ample pillows.

The soundproofing and temperature control were perfect, ensuring we had peaceful and comfortable nights. My children appreciated their privacy, and my wife and I enjoyed ours as well.

Location

The location was another highlight. Everything we needed was within walking distance or easily accessible via the metro, which is just steps from the hotel. The area is full of useful shops, including supermarkets, pharmacies, Zara, Uniqlo, FNAC, and a luggage store, among others. Despite being in the heart of Paris, the neighborhood felt safe and welcoming.

Service and Quality

The staff was incredibly polite and helpful, ensuring every aspect of our stay was smooth. The cleanliness of both the rooms and the common areas was impeccable. The breakfast buffet was a daily treat, with fresh and varied options that even included new surprises each day. The linens and towels were of the highest quality, and everything felt new and well-maintained.

Value

For everything we received, the price was excellent, especially considering Paris’ high accommodation costs. I was initially skeptical, thinking the photos online might exaggerate the hotel’s charm, but the reality surpassed even the pictures.

Final Thoughts

I almost hesitated to write this review, as I fear it might drive up demand and, consequently, prices! Jokes aside, the Victoria Palace Hotel truly felt like a home away from home. The clientele was composed of families and respectful guests, adding to the overall pleasant atmosphere.

This hidden gem located on a Paris side street, has all the charm and service of a hotel in a Turner Classic movie. The staff is extremely polite and on point regarding there jobs. There was only one doorman that wasn't engaging when I made several attempts to speak to him, other than that I enjoyed meeting and joking around with the employees. The only dissappointment was that the 'suite' was not the size I was expecting. (I was comparing it to United States designs) Other than that, the room was comfortable and decorated in good taste. The good- This hotel is so quiet. At times I felt as though I were the only guest in the building. I don't know if this was due to the fact that I was traveling off season or if this is normal. During check-in, we were escorted to our room by the clerk who explained all the features of the room; heating, lighting ect. while making sure our questions were answered. The only thing he forgot was how to remove the magnetic stopper from the tub which took a bit of trial and error before I figured it out. A bellhop delivers your luggage to your room. Wonderful! The bathroom was a nice comfortable size with great amenities. There are complimentary robes and slippers for use during your stay. I did not use the stocked refrigerator which of course you are charged for if used. There is a breakfast buffet that was not included in my package and would have cost 22.00. Even the housekeeping staff was nice and kept my room tidy. They would always leave a written card with the next day's weather report and a bite of chocolate for the night on the bed. Loved it! The hotel location is perfect. Turn left or right, head up the street and you can find just about anything you need, bookstores, cafes, boutiques and the Metro. One of the most memorable moments I will always have is meeting the night clerk, Seitkassym. As a writer, my energy level is high early in the morning as the story runs rampant in my head and a change of writing space is needed. Seithkassym would turn on the lights in the sitting room located off of the lobby and offer to make a pot of tea for me as I placed pen to paper and wrote for two hours. His kindness reminded me of the true meaning of service in this business. To see to the needs of the guests no matter what time of day or night or what that need may be. Little things like, USA Today, New York TImes International and local newspapers for the taking or the booklet that allows you to jot down notes of your visit make this hotel stand out in customer service. Wow! This hotel is excellent and provides exceptional customer service. Tom, Hirina and Aimée really stood out for their finely tuned attention to customer care and outstanding guest service. Along with the management team, these three wonderful staff members went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Tom, Hirina and Aimée worked hard, attentively and diligently to ensure an exceptional stay and they consistently provided a high standard of excellence in hospitality.

What makes this hotel stand out is how much the staff truly care about their guests. The staff at the Victoria Palace Hotel are helpful, attentive, genuine, caring, efficient and they work hard to exceed excellent customer satisfaction. They really make you feel welcome and it is evident that their top priority is making their guests happy. We felt very cared for and they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. This was an unforgettably positive hotel experience and I highly recommend Victoria Palace Hotel. I’ve been to Paris over a dozen times and moving forward, I will always choose to stay at Hotel Victoria Palace for its exceptional staff and their finely tuned attention to customer care.

The hotel itself is perfectly located in the 6th arrondissment. It’s steps away from the metro but also within walking distance to all major attractions. In 8 days, we only used the metro once to get to Montmartre and we even walked back! We were able to walk everywhere we needed from this conveniently located hotel. It is located on a quiet street away from crowded tourist traps but close enough to anything you would want to explore.

Our room was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and provided every amenity we needed. There is ample space for storing and hanging clothes. The shower was powerful and worked very well. The balcony was the perfect Parisian slice of heaven providing beautiful views of the gorgeous city architecture. We truly felt at home.

We had a fabulous stay and highly recommend this hotel. We will be returning thanks to the exceptional customer service, wonderful location and beautiful rooms.
