The hotel itself is cozy and clean. It was easy to find having never been in Strasbourg before and all the staff were very accommodating and friendly. The room itself was a perfectly comfy size and was very clean. They even left a small booklet in the room featuring local sights and places to eat and how to find them in relation to the hotel which was very helpful. Once the staff explained the WiFi login to us it was easy to sign in and we both found it fast and reliable.
The bedding itself was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was also clean and the water didn't take long to warm up despite our winter visit.
The breakfast - while a little basic in terms of options - was tasty and fresh.
The location was great and within a 5-15 minute walking distance to a bunch of big sights and museums, it was very quaint walking along the riverside both in the morning and night that's virtually next to the hotel. Overall, an excellent stay and a place I would recommend and...
Read moreI stayed in a comfort double room and can say the two stars official rating doesn't do justice to the hotel's facilities and staff. The room, although soberly equipped with the bare minimals, offers all that is needed for a weekend stay. The room is clean, bed is comfortable and the bathroom's shower is versatile to one's showering preferences (from the top or with a moving hose, although the knobs are somewhat confusing to operate). The owner speaks French, German and what seems to be sufficient English. The WiFi connection is very good although the sign in process may be confusing for some (thankfully it must only be done once). Breakfast is probably worth the money compared to the money you can spend outside in any brasserie, café or restaurant nearby. The elevator may be very small for bigger people or big...
Read moreIt's right in the centre of Strasburg so it's very convenient. The staff are extremely polite and helpful too. There's a parking nearby. The triple room we stayed in was small, and the toilet was in a different room than the bathroom which might be common in France (?) but it's very inconvenient. It also wasn't cleaned very well as you could see spots on the toilet seat from previous occupants. The beds were uncomfortable and the pillows like non-existent. There was also a weird smell. The worst part was the noise. There's practically no insulation and all night we could hear the people upstairs walking and it felt like they were right next to us. Breakfast was ok but...
