Great Stay at B-chill Cologne – Ideal Location for Exploring the City!
I recently stayed at b-chill Cologne for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the Cologne Cathedral, the nearest S-Bahn station, and Köln Hauptbahnhof (Cologne Central Train Station). As a base for my trip, it was perfect. Everything I needed was close by, which made getting around the city incredibly easy.
The room itself was excellent, with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. The bed was very cozy, and the waterfall shower was a real highlight. I also enjoyed having a balcony that looked out onto the street, which gave the room a nice, open feel.
One thing that really stood out was the helpfulness of the staff. After traveling for nine hours, I arrived earlier than the official check-in time and asked if I could leave my bag at reception. To my relief, the receptionist allowed me to check in early, which made a huge difference and allowed me to unwind straight away. Throughout my stay, the staff were always friendly, approachable, and informative.
Although I didn’t try the breakfast, the hotel offers it, and I imagine it would be very convenient for those who prefer not to hunt for a place to eat in the morning.
The only small suggestion I’d make is to make it clearer that the mini-bar isn’t complimentary. I didn’t realize this until the day I checked out, though I admit I should have looked more closely.
Overall, b-chill Cologne was a great place to stay, and I’d definitely come back next time I’m...
Read moreVisited Cologne for the first time and wanted to stay at a nice and affordable hotel to celebrate my birthday. B-Chill was just the right choice. The receptionist was really nice and patient when I needed assistance in my room (reprogramming the safe changing the language on my TV). I booked the Deluxe Double Room. I was able to check in early because a room was available. This hotel was very close to many of my activities within a 15 minute or less walk to/from. I didn’t get the gentleman name who was the most helpful at the front front desk but he was great. Things to know: I paid for the room at check in which was a first for me. if you are a person that likes to unpack and place clothes in drawers they don’t have any but there were quite a few hangers that could be used. The full body mirror is in an awkward corner of the room between the desk and a/c unit on the wall. The shower doesn’t have a place to put your soap holder/ hang wash rags unless you use the towel holder. The bathroom mirror is not that big nor is it much counter space if you are a woman who likes to do makeup. The minibar is not included in the room price. Overall it was a nice stay as I spent most of my time outside...
Read moreI stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. I couldn't get the safe to work on the first day. The receptionist didn't come to help me program the safe. He said the keys are here, you can handle it. I programmed the safe by myself, then when I was going to return the keys, I asked for toothpaste, but he said they didn't have any. The next morning, I asked the other receptionist for toothpaste again and he found it and brought it to my room. While I was sleeping the first night, the mini fridge in the room started making noise and I had to unplug it. The night I was leaving the hotel was a complete fiasco. I actually create my bill on the 3rd try because the receptionist couldn't do it. He couldn't even take payment from my credit card. So I paid in cash. I said I would leave the hotel at 4 in the morning, the main entrance was locked in the morning and I couldn't leave the hotel for a short while. I noticed the entrance on the side later. I think one of the receptionists was inexperienced. The person working at breakfast, the other receptionist and room service...
