We arrived in Ela 5 Residences on Oct 14 and there were roughly 20+ of us. Since this Hotel is fairly new and have been renovated top to bottom, there was not much for reviews yet. Less than 15 reviews. The pictures of the inside of the hotel is just as advertised. Beautifly renovated with huge rooms, kitchenette and overall a great stay. The owners were accomodating and kind enough to leave our luggages in the hotel until it was time to check in.
Only draw back is the location. We took an uber getting to the hotel and every single uber told us “Are you sure this is where you are staying because this is a bad area?” The moment our uber made that turn on the street where the hotel is located, we could see why. It definitely did not help when all of our ubers (roughly 6) said the same comment. It did feel very unsafe. Luckily there were many of us so we were not so worried but those who are coming with small children or couples, just something to consider. There is also a security at night to watch the property. The doors of our hotel room we noticed has extra lock features so that did help with feeling safe going to bed. Also, something to consider, there is a club/bar by the hotel and it does get very loud at night. It did finally simmer...

Place was great! Clean, huge balcony, everything was very new inside. The door locks were like a fortress on our rooms. Plus their is a small elevator to get up to your room (7 stories). The cafe downstairs has fair priced coffees and a nice vibe. Definitely a diamond in the rough for it's surroundings. Walkable to the acropolis and hip monastiraki area...
