I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kalopsimeno, and I must say it was a pretty decent experience overall. The staff seemed friendly enough, but there were a few moments when we had to wait longer than expected for our orders to be taken and for the bill to arrive. Nevertheless, they were polite and accommodating, which is always a plus. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the mixed grill platter. It was a delightful surprise. I have placed my order through Wolt and never got it, because the courier(not Wolt one, their own) couldn’t call on my Cypriot phone number for some reason. I called the place after 2 hours and asked to refund me my money since I never got my food. I wouldn’t have a problem with the fact that courier couldn’t find the address or something, it happens all the time, its fine, but the woman I was speaking on the phone with was extremely rude and racist to me, she said she called me which I have no missed calls from her, she accused me of lying because previously I asked my roommate who speaks Greek to call them from my phone and check on the order so now she was claiming I’m pretending that I don’t speak Greek, because she thought we were the same person. After I told her it wasn’t me she proceeded insisting that I’m lying. I’ve eaten from this place before and I liked the food by the way. I don't understand the bad reviews...ok it's not the best Souvlaki place in Athens but they are open till very late, their portions are big and the quality of the food is good. What they need to improve : Language barrier, anytime I call they always have difficulties in understanding what I'm saying unless there is someone young on the phone, the older do not understand anything-it's bad for their business because in the area it's full of foreigners(estimated 4000 foreigners/22.000 residents). -Their sauces, they need to have new ideas, new sauces available, not only mustard, mayo and ketchup...also BBQ, truffle mayo and others. -Their delivery timeframes...they need to be faster. The quality of the food...it's good, higher than average and the portions are very nice....bigger than many other...
