Let me start by saying this COULD be a 5. Came to area because read about Warehouse. Saw sousourada across street and could actually get seated but wondering if there was a reason… the food and wine - exceptional. Had sea bream with couscous - delicious. A glass of Sauvignon blanc and a bio red - soooo good. But the service - 2 stars? I mean maybe expectations are high but they had so many chances to improve. Took 25 minutes after seating to have someone come by to take order. Got food. Wanted to order more wine. Tried to order more wine. 30 minutes later after feeling ignored, tried to get check. Woman came over to pour wine - sorry you missed the service window…tried to pay - 2 waiters got change in front. Certainly busy, certainly Europe a bit slower but I feel like many in these comments depressed by how good the food /wine was but how the poor organization / service brought everything down. But also seems like a neighborhood hang so maybe they just don’t care… anyway would recommend if you do try going early to sit outside and be prepared to wait a while for...

Vibe: relaxed, but fashionable. 🏳️🌈 LGBTQ+ friendly. 🎶 Music too loud, but at least it’s good. No AC inside, so it’s warm. They are very busy. Order your next drink when you are 50% done with the first one 😉 And don’t skip the signature Sosorada cocktail—brandy, 🫚, and pink peppercorn 🍹(but I wish the peppercorn was crushed and spread throughout the drink instead of just a garnish on top). Figs Delight cocktail is good but a little too sour.
🍸They offer alcohol free wine and 1 alcohol free cocktail. Vegetarian food options.
🍟 Potatoes are well seasoned and great for sharing, but they need to give more sauce with the potato appetizer.
♿️ outdoor seating is accessible. Indoor seating has one small step. Good lighting. Very loud music (you have to yell across the table or speak into people’s ear). No AC, so it’s warm inside. Bathroom is up a steep flight of stairs.
Note to management: please get better straws to enjoy your beautiful cocktails. They deconstruct...
Read moreA classy yet welcoming bar in Exarchia Sousourada is a rare gem in Exarchia that stands out for its consistently high quality over time. While it has a more upscale bar vibe than many of the other establishments in the area, it's still very welcoming and unpretentious. The service is always excellent and attentive, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Whether you're stopping by for coffee and brunch in the morning, a delicious lunch with a glass of wine (they have a great wine list!), or cocktails in the evening, you're sure to have a great experience. It's also a great place to work on your laptop, though you may be interrupted by the street noise or crowd. It's usually quite busy, but the staff is always efficient at finding a spot for you. I hope this place continues to hire such great staff and maintain its high standards of quality. I should also mention that it's always clean and the prices are fair - maybe a little on the high side,...
