I stayed for five nights in a Superior Double room in April - so before the season officially starts. ||Overall, I had a good stay but there are a few things to note, some of which may have been because of the start of season visit.||The hotel is in Old Town but near the edge of it. That said, the location was fantastic, especially if you have a car. I didn't have an issue parking in a free lot nearby but I don't think that'll be the same when season actually starts. Parking in Chania is tight and stressful but I'm glad for this hotel's location being closer to the car.||There are only four rooms in the entire hotel. Superior Double is a great size for 1-2 people. Bathroom is huge, shower is spacious (with real showerhead), good storage space and areas to spread out. There is no city view, which some booking sights list. You look at another building. There was also construction in the building across from me and at the end of the hotel, which would start around 6-7am or at 8pm at night. I know this isn't the hotels fault but guests should know.||Wifi is not great in the room, which is a real bummer. For a hotel as nice as this, it should be stronger, especially as a desk is inside the room and people work remotely.||Coffemaker, kettle and fridge in the room help a lot. Loved that.||Housekeeping is every day, minus one for her day off. I did have dirty glasses dropped off and other items not refreshed (which was asked for by me) before she left so the manager had to stop by.||Manager does not stay on-site, although in high season she will likely be there more. She was accessible by WhatsApp but not very consistent in replying, which can be frustrating if you need something quickly. Hopefully that will get better.||I would consider staying here again and probably would...
Read moreWe were due to stay here for one night but unfortunately a few hours before we arrived were told there was a burst pipe in our room and we would have to go to another hotel in the old town. We arrived at the hotel reception and everything seemed normal which was a bit suspicious. Then we were asked to walk across the old town with all our luggage to another hotel which was of a much lower standard. We were not offered a refund so had to ask for it and the receptionist came and gave us a 10 EUR note which was hardly enough. It was a strange experience and the first really negative one having been coming to Chania for many years. Overall disappointed we did not get to experience the hotel as it looks very nice and the reviews...
Read moreWe had a lovely experience in Chania and choosing the Flaneur Boutique Hotel was perfect for us. The hotel is 10 mins walk from the main Chania square and from the lovely Venetian port. Nadia, the host is such a friendly and lovely woman. She recommended delicious restaurants and tavernas for our stay and she was super responsive on WhatsApp answering all our queries and questions. We booked the room with the terrace. It was clean daily and had all the essential for a week stay including quite a large fridge. We will definitely choose again the Flaneur Boutique Hotel because every main attraction in Chania is just walking distance. Highly...
