I don't recommend staying in Artemis apartment! We stayed at a Superior Suite named Artemis, 1st flour of Palazzo di Irene (felt underground/basement in practice). The balcony of the property nearby is at the level of our window. +location +well equipped very clean nice furniture microwave the check- in/ check out was easy even w/o a physical reception the viper host was responsive there is a place nearby (450 m/7 min walking) to leave your luggage in case of a late departure flight (Select properties office, Daskalogianni 65 A), so we checked out at 11.00, but was able to explore the city till the evening.
Не харесаха · - the main disadvantage is that the suite Artemis is underground, the sun light, such as the fresh air coming in is very limited. It's a real pity do not be able to see outside, smell fresh air and experience the sea air while being located on an Island very close to the port. the balcony is quite not a balcony, it's actually not an open terrace, but more like a spacious closet, there is no windows at all, only a solid wall with a semitransparent roof. In the office of the Select properties on str. Daskalogianni 65 I received very unexpected response from one of the senior ladies working there to my feedback regarding the underground location, that was not mentioned in the description. She tried to convince me that I don't understand what means underground and that the reality is not what I saw and experienced during my 3 nights stay in the suite. I highly recommend to Palazzo di Irene hosts to give the opportunity to their employees to spend at least 1 day and night in Artemis apartment so they can experience on their own what is underground! very noisy, you can hear steps while people climbing the stairs, talking outside or the steps of those located on the 2nd flour. cigarette smoke is often coming through the window from the terrace of the...
Read moreIf you go to Chania, definitely choose this hotel. Our visit was the second time to the same hotel and it fulfilled all our wishes, just like the first time. The hotel is in a great location in the old town, close to everything. Access to the hotel was handled with two different PIN codes, one for the front door and the other for the key box in the room. The hotel is easy to find. The rooms are different and of different sizes and some are also on two floors. We especially liked the room on two floors. The cleanliness of the apartment was excellent everywhere. The apartments have previously been completely renovated with high-quality materials. The best thing is that all restaurants and shopping opportunities are within walking distance and the beaches are not far away. Getting around is easy either by bus or taxi. You can feel the great atmosphere of the old town right from your own balcony. You can get all the help and good tips from the extremely friendly staff. There is also an excellent Colombo restaurant in the alley opposite the hotel. The apartment's Wifi and satellite TV channels work well. The kitchenette with fridge and microwave and cooking facilities is also an excellent addition. It was also excellent that there was cold water and white wine waiting in the fridge. The air conditioning in the two-story apartment worked really well and the air conditioning was also quiet. If you are looking for a great and idyllic hotel in the best possible location, then choose this hotel definitely. Unreserved positive recommendation...
Read moreStaying at Palazzo di Irene was an incredibly positive experience and was the perfect place to stay in Chania! The location very convenient and it was extremely easy to navigate the area. The best part in staying here was Noni who was so helpful and kind. She gave me recommendations for restaurants, shopping, beaches, and helped arrange taxis to pick me up from the airport and to transport me to my next apartment in Rethymno.
There were many thoughtful touches in the apartment including bottles of wine and water, crackers and jam, coffee, and Noni even dropped off a small melon for me to enjoy during my stay. The air conditioning and wifi worked very well and the cleaning service was excellent. I really enjoyed the patio which also had a drying rack for clothes and a hose to rinse sand off.
Check in and check out were very easy and there is luggage storage if you want to stay in Chania for a few hours after check out. Accessing the apartment is also very convenient because there is a code on the front door and a box inside that you can store your room key in (should you choose to do so).
When I return to Chania in the future I will not hesitate to rebook my stay at...
