An awesome restaurant with great staff. Food and drinks are great, and thereโs plenty to choose from. The host (presuming ???) pays close attention to his customers, and he unexpectedly gave me a shot (not sure what it was, but it was strong) which was really kind. This restaurant is somewhere I would recommend if youโre looking for some great food (notably the carbonara), staff and customer service - and good prices!
*EDIT - A huge persona thank you to the most wholesome people. Each of you are a representation of the friendliness and kindness I received throughout my time in Chaniรก, and you all sum up the hospitality that the Greek people are known for. I have nothing but good words to say about you all, and you have truly left me with amazing memories. As this was my first time in Greece, I was not sure what to expect but I cannot thank the entire team enough for how much you looked after me during each of my visits to your restaurant, it was an absolute pleasure! My parents have also said a huge huge thank you too for being so hospitable and kind towards me ๐. You are all fantastic at your job and that is evident through the way that you take care of your customers. Not only me, but others too. Looking forward to seeing you all next year! Take care of yourselves and thank you once again! ๐

Last night, we decided to visit "The Green Eye" restaurant in Chania and were delighted from start to finish. Right from our arrival, we were warmly welcomed. We expressed our desire to first savor the appetizers and then decide on the main course, and our wish was promptly accommodated.
The appetizers were swiftly served. In particular, the Green Eye Salad impressed us with its exquisite taste. The bread and tzatziki were also culinary delights. However, we were a bit surprised when the bill was presented to us, even though we intended to order more dishes.
For the main course, we opted for cheese balls and grilled Calamari. Without a doubt, these Calamari were the best I've tasted during our stay in Crete.
I wholeheartedly recommend "The Green Eye" in Chania. A small note to the staff: Please refrain from prematurely presenting the bill to guests. Despite this minor oversight, the outstanding Calamari and the overall excellent service earn a...
ย ย ย Read moreWe were looking for a restaurant with good vegetarian options - there are always veggie starters available at Greek restaurants, but finding main course dishes is more difficult - we found it here, at The Green Eye! We chose their house salad to start - with salad leaves, avocado, pomegranate, walnuts, plums & apple - Delicious! For our main courses we chose Boureki, an oven baked dish of potato, zucchini, local cheeses and fine herbs - absolutely amazing, soo tasty!! - and Gemista (stuffed green pepper and tomato) served with seasoned potatoes and Greek yoghurt. The whole meal was perfect, but not confined to only those dishes ... We will definitely be back to try their many other dishes! The service here was friendly and welcoming, not pushy or false, like found at so many tourist restaurants. A true taste of greek hospitality in the heart of Chania Old Town! It's worth pointing out that The Green Eye is not a vegetarian restaurant - a full menu is available for meat, fish & seafood...
