Marianthi's House — Hotel in Municipality of Heraklion

Wonderful place, had a 3 night stop over before moving to the south of Crete. Its a hidden gem, very hidden if you arrive late as there's a small door between to gift shops (see photo) that is hard to spot until you know it is there. Inside there's short passage to some stairs and a mini balcony by the door.

Inside there is so much space. A well serviced kitchen area and the two spacious bedrooms. We reckon they have the best shower we had ever had in Greece.

Right in the centre of the old city you can easily access the nightlife and port. If you are in a taxi get dropped of at the Archaeological Museum as the street outside is pedestrianised.
