Location and view of the breakfast room are good. The ceiling height of rooms are good, high, but the area size of the room is small, no matter what direction of the wind you set for the air conditioning, the wind will get reflected again into your eyes and you will feel dry or itchy eyes, not much space to walk inside the room. The toilet-shower is like a telephone kiosk, if you are more than thin, your body touches around in the shower part. The room was labelled as double, but I would say it can only be used as a single room, not suitable for a couple at all. They didn't even bother to check the TV is connected or not, for the first few days I thought their TV receiver has issue, but later when I was going to unplug the TV from electricity to put my laptop to electricity, I noticed the TV cable is not connected to TV, if you connect it, then you can actually see a few channels, otherwise nothing. I think if they check rooms carefully, they would see these simple things, at least they never turn on the TV once a while to check if the remote's battery and other things work fine and then notice the TV cable is not connected? Also as I said no electricity other than for the TV plug next to the table, there is only above your head on bed. Maybe only this room was like this, but in general it is a pretty standard guess that many guests would have laptop and would need electricity near the table (not healthy to work with your laptop in bed). But finally, the receptionist is kind, but not honest. When I checked in he said breakfast is included into your room and the time is 6 to 11, even though I didn't ask about breakfast, so he said himself. I asked him, are you sure? He said, yes. So the next morning I went to breakfast, and the lady there said, no it is not included into your room and asked me to sign a receipt to pay later. When the receptionist of check-in time came to his shift, I went and told him that yesterday you said the breakfast is included..., he didn't let me continue and said, no sir, I said it is NOT included. ^_^ I don't think he could forget what he said the day before, because 1- he said it himself, 2- I asked him are you sure and he said it for the second time. So in any case, I found this a little non-honest and tricky. I didn't argue, I said ok and paid, but one breakfast payment this way is not worth loosing a customer for the next time. I would say if that not completely honest conversation/behavior had not happened and the room size was a bit bigger, I would return to this hotel next time, which is not the case, so I would not return...
Read moreOwner of the hotel- look into management. Your hotel could be much better but the standards aren’t being met in terms of basic cleanliness.
Hotel is a former hospital converted into a hotel (rooms were scary). Photos are edited to look way nicer. If you don’t mind the thought of 30 people possibly having died in the room and disgusting smells and looks and sheets, go ahead.
Story: We showed up and checked into a room.
There was black mold in the bathroom and it smelled like urine and hospital smell (if you’ve been in a hospital room you know what smell I’m referring to).
Front desk was super nice and offered to switch us to another room- but that room had dirty walls and as well black mold in the bathroom. Didn’t have the urine smell but it did have the hospital smell.
My partner is allergic to mold so we had to leave the hotel even though front desk offered us to see a third room.
Maybe there was misunderstanding at the front desk but my impression was they offered to give us our money back ( we didn’t even lay in a bed so it was good to go for another customer).
I was then informed a few hours later the manager decided he would not be giving us a refund, even though I was told at the front desk we would (maybe there was a language barrier because the guy at the front was nice).
Anyways, I now have to file a complaint against this hotel with my credit card company.
I would give 5 stars for service but took two away due to manager being greedy with money and trying to take advantage of a customer who did not even stay in the room for 5 minutes.
Also if you look at other low reviews, everyone is complaining about dirtiness. The management either blames the customer or they copy and paste a generic message to the guests saying “we will look into this”.
Well, they clearly aren’t looking into and and don’t care about their reputation. Hotel won’t last longer than 3 years - too many better options.
Spend 20 euros more and stay somewhere...
Read moreAbsolutely ghastly. The only good thing is the reception staff. Grubby room in all aspects. Part of our curtain missed hooks which one would assume cleaning staff would notice and perhaps pass onto maintenance. Shower has a grubby plastic mat for anti slip proof. I decided to rather take the chance and removed it. The mould in shower may be a bigger health threat than possibly slipping. Aircon works well. Except we don’t particularly like aircons. There is no way of leaving sliding door open. Noise is way too terrible and even still at 5 in the morning when I would assume night clubs close in the vicinity. Anyway, I would also not walk alone in this area. It certainly did not feel safe. There was a light in balcony which cannot be switched off. Early morning hours it went off. Of course we could not close curtains so it was yet another annoyance. The water in basin was slightly blocked. The once white towels are grey and thin. I will most certainly not...
