Manos Rooms Downtown — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

Old and tired, but clean. You could say our quadruple room had “character”. A couple of small sodas and a beer were provided in the fridge upon check-in, which was refreshing, although the beer wasn’t great. The provided coffee pods were a nice treat at least. There was daily housekeeping, in which beds were made, bins emptied and essentials restocked as needed.

Excellent location in a quiet part of town, yet near all the attractions. Very walkable distance. This was the best feature of the property for us. You can still hear the faintest music far off in the distance with the windows open, but it’s not loud enough to bother you at night. We slept well. Furthermore, the bus station was very near, making our transit easy.

Internet was slow and spotty. It couldn’t handle simultaneous usage and if someone decided to watch YouTube, the drop in Internet speed was extremely noticeable.

We were collected from Mykonos airport within 10 of calling minutes by the friendly owner, who then helped us with our bags through the tiny lanes to the apartments, which are situated within the old town in easy walking distance of pretty much everything we wanted... Bars, restaurants, shops, beaches.||Apartment was clean and fresh, with a kettle, a fridge, kitchen sink... No cooking facilities were included, but my daughter and I planned on eating out most of the time, bringing in basic breakfast and snack provisions.||Air conditioned, with views over the old town to the nearby sea from at least 3 of the windows.||My daughter and I had a fab' time and we would happily use Manos...

The staff was friendly and the location was very convenient. However, many improvements were desired. For example, facilities were poorly maintained (the shower head splashed water everywhere). The number of staff was extremely limited (we saw two during our stay). One of them could not speak English while the other was mostly absent and unresponsive on text messages. Last but not least, the pickup service to airport was very inflexible and caused great inconvenience for us.
