While I am writing this, it is exactly 1:18 AM on Saturday, September 21st, 2025: I CANNOT SLEEP.

My fiancée and I are staying in room 510, which faces the corner of one of the streets. The acoustics are absolutely horrible – far below any standards you would expect from a 1* or even a 4* hotel. The windows are of such poor quality that the street noise comes through magnificently. From the 5th floor you can hear people talking on the street as if they were standing right next to you.

Even inside the building, the sound insulation is a disaster. Every time a door slams shut from rooms like 509, 508, 507, and so on, it echoes loudly into our room. Considering this is supposed to be a newly renovated hotel, I can only say that the architect or consultant responsible for this project has already failed.

Parking: There is no hotel-owned parking lot. None. We ended up paying €30 per day extra, in cash, after wasting half an hour driving aimlessly in Saturday traffic around the hotel. In the end, we gave up and just handed the car keys to the valet. A real disappointment.

Third issue: Upon our arrival, heavy construction work was underway on the masonry. Workers were using massive circular saws, and the noise was brutally loud. Electricians, bricklayers, and construction workers are constantly moving around inside the hotel. In many places, cables are still hanging out of the walls. On top of that, the sawdust and construction dust have spread throughout the corridors.

I will never come here again. I need to sleep at night. Wake up in the morning in peace.

The staff is nice and friendly. Has nothing to do with the status quo of this...

Top notch experience at this place. Such a cool, modern and classy vibe with more than pleasant staff that go way above and beyond. The minute you walk in you are greeted with good music and a delicious smell throughout the building and staff that are eager to help you in any way. George even went further and sat down with us and gave us a bunch of opinions on places to see and things to do. Such a huge help! The rooms are a bit more on the tiny side but super comfortable and welcoming. Felt very clean and modern and the beds were amazing. This hotel was just recently finished and everything feels brand new. Bathrooms super stylish. Heating and cooling in the room was a little unique for us but opening the window helps regulate the temperature much better in the room. Wonderful included breakfast in the morning again with amazing staff to greet you and a super assortment of items to choose from. Definitely left satisfied. Another note is there is only valet parking or you have to search for an open spot locally, which seemed not easy to us. We chose valet, which was at an extra cost and there weren't any issues whatsoever. As I write this tonight in Kavala, I almost drove all the way back tonight just to stay at this place again on our way back through towards Athens. That's how much we liked it. Price was more than fair in our opinion. It's location is right near the food district with amazing food options. You can't go wrong, CHOOSE this place, that is my recommendation. Sorry I didn't take an initial room photo but I did add some others to showcase some...

I stayed at NYX Hotel Thessaloniki recently, and overall my experience was far above expectations. The moment I walked in, I was struck by the elegance of the lobby and the urban-art inspired design. My room was modern, clean, with all the expected amenities (fast WiFi, smart TV, USB chargers, a very comfortable bed), and I appreciated the quiet despite being right in the busy city centre. The location is unbeatable right on Tsimiski street, so nearly everything I wanted was in walking distance: shops, cafés, restaurants, even metro museum. Especially nice after long walks. But what really made my stay memorable was the reception team. Nikos and Yasmin were excellent always greeting me with a smile, quick to help with directions, and offering suggestions. What I really liked was that both of them speak German fluently. Breakfast was good, with a nice variety although the cafe machine coffee wasn’t as good as the room espresso machine, the lounge restaurant has a pleasant ambience. The common areas are stylish and comfortable. The gym has everything I needed for a short workout. Overall, I would strongly recommend NYX for both business or leisure stays. If I return to Thessaloniki, this is where...

Unsafe, unfinished, and not ready for guests!! This hotel should never have opened its doors in the current state. The hallways were dusty and dirty, with construction work going on all the time, making it impossible to relax. The worst part: we got trapped in the elevator for an hour at 2 AM, and the alarm bell didn't even work — an absolutely unacceptable safety issue. Breakfast was mediocre at best, with far too many staff members standing around getting in the way, except for one genuinely kind lady who greeted us every morning. When I raised my concerns, the so-called customer relations manager brushed it off with hollow phrases like "oh my god, I feel so bad," which felt insincere and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility, they offered excuses and a meaningless "30% off next time" gesture. What matters is accountability and the willingness to improve, and that was completely missing. Overall, a deeply disappointing and unsafe stay - this hotel opened far too soon and guests are paying the price.

Stylish Hotel with Great Value and Central Location. We had a great stay at NYX Hotel Thessaloniki. The location is excellent — right across from many restaurants and in the heart of the main street. There’s no on-site parking, but we easily found spots nearby. No need to use valet service as it’s quite expensive. We were greeted with a welcome drink, which was a nice touch. We stayed in a “Down to Earth” room — small, but modern, clean, and comfortable. The TV has access to Netflix and YouTube, which was great. I especially loved the soft slippers and robes. The bathroom amenities and soaps smelled lovely, and the bathroom itself was modern and spotless. The bed and pillows were soft and cozy. Overall, it’s a great value for money. Breakfast was good and had enough variety. I requested gluten-free bread every day — it would be even better if it was available directly at the buffet. Tea and coffee were easy to get from the machines. I definitely recommend the breakfast.
