Athivoli — Restaurant in Municipality of Thessaloniki

Rude Rude staff! Never coming back!! No respect or appreciation to the word hospitality! So we arrive to the restaurant(it was relatively crowded, we stand for 2 minutes at least waiting for a host to speak to us it or to seat us, no one even bothered! Suddenly a group of women arrive (with no reservation) they enter, the host saw us standing before them, the group of woman just entered occupied two large tables, with no reservation or anything! Then I was walk to the waiter/host asking politely for a table for two, he says we are full can’t do anything about it! I told him but I’m standing here before them, he completely ignores me and just walks away! I stand for two more minutes, I point at a few empty tables try to communicate with him, but he ignores me again and just says can’t do anything and walks away. Two other guys that work as waiters/hostess ( you never understand their role) also they have ignored us! No one tried to show the minimal amount of respect. They were rude, disrespectful acting in such a rude aggressive manners. GUYS we come to sit and eat and enjoy! (Not for free, we wanna pay money) no favors made here! Don’t forget that, I believe these guys forget the role! And forget they it’s called Resturant!!! Hospitality!!! You should be generally kind a respectful!! Not rude! Great food but very rude service when processing my credit card, this girl who served us and processed my payment should never work with people, she did not listen to me, made fun of me. Big disappointment. I called the restaurant later to complain about the service and this girl picked up, when I asked for the general manager she told me that he was not here and she is the manager, she continued to argue with me thatI was wrong and she tried to explain. I am more than 10 years in Greece and this is a terrible experience, If I call to complain, why you tell me your client is guilty?? She said she did not know the processing terminal was closed, she told me other things mainly ONLY FIGHTING with me and she apologised but I asked her how she would feel if somebody made fun with faces to her and I regret if she is really the owner, then this place must be closed to have people with most negativity and blaming persons. Wonderful Experience – Thanks to Yanis!

We had an absolutely amazing time at this restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to Yanis, who gave us some of the best service we’ve ever experienced. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our meal.

Yanis went above and beyond – he helped us choose the perfect dishes, made great wine recommendations, and always had a smile on his face. It’s rare to find someone so dedicated and passionate about their work.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, but it was Yanis who truly made our evening special. We’ll definitely be coming back – and we hope to be served...
