🌟 Kaleidoscope Caves: A Mesmerizing Escape in Santorini 🌟
Breathtaking Views: From the moment we stepped into Kaleidoscope Caves, we were greeted by panoramic vistas that left us speechless. The azure Aegean Sea stretched out before us, and the iconic white-washed buildings perched on the cliffs created a picture-perfect scene.
Unique Accommodation: Our cave suite was unlike anything we’d ever experienced. The blend of traditional architecture and modern amenities was seamless. The curved walls, cozy alcoves, and private terrace made us feel like we were living in a fairytale.
Joanna’s Warm Welcome: Joanna, our gracious host, welcomed us with open arms. Her genuine smile and warm demeanor instantly put us at ease. She took the time to share local insights, recommend hidden gems, and ensure our stay was memorable.
Impeccable Service: Joanna’s attention to detail was impeccable. Whether it was arranging a sunset cruise, suggesting the best local tavernas, or surprising us with a bottle of Santorini wine, she went above and beyond to make our stay special.
Breakfast with a View: Each morning, we enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast on our private terrace. Freshly baked pastries, Greek yogurt drizzled with honey, and aromatic coffee, amazing omelette with gouda made to perfection by Sophia—all while overlooking the caldera. It was pure bliss.
Romantic Evenings: As the sun dipped below the horizon, Joanna recommended the best spots for sunset views from where we watched the sky transform into a canvas of pinks and oranges.
Hidden Gems: Joanna shared her favorite off-the-beaten-path spots. We explored charming villages, hiked scenic trails, and discovered secluded beaches—all thanks to her insider knowledge.
Comfort and Tranquility: The cave suite was a sanctuary. Soft linens, plush pillows, and the gentle sound of waves lulled us into a peaceful sleep. We woke up refreshed, ready to explore more of Santorini.
Farewell, Kaleidoscope: As we reluctantly packed our bags, Joanna bid us farewell with a heartfelt hug. We left with memories etched in our hearts and a...
Read moreVery bad experience! We booked a room of Kaleidoscope Cave Houses hotel. When we arrived to Santorini, the person from hotel met us and told that the room is under constraction and we had to take another accomodation. They forced us to an old house with electrical problems. The owner didn't inform us about changes before our arrival. The breakfast was not served, we had to cook it ourselves. Every half an hour we experienced electrical cut, and couldn't use jaccuzi. We didn't dusturb the owner and let "room the chance". Lately they told us " why we didn't inform, they would fix electrical system". Not many people on holidays want to see electrician in their hotel. Finally electricity stopped and we couldn't have even coffee in morning. We walked to Kaleidoscope rooms, and looked around. The photos they present are not realistic. The jaccuzi tubes are old and small. Rooms are not in the peaceful place. They are next main road in Oia, so there is no privacy. All tourists watch you while you are in tube. The "terraces" are on street level, you see all tourists' feet. If you finally get to Kaleidoscope rooms (and nowhere else), check their dishes. The frying pan they use for omlettes are dangerously scratched and old. We asked compensation - to return us money at least for one night. The owner said that they want to offer us any dates we want before May. We sent them dates we could come, and they said that it is impossible. Finally, they answered rudely that noone promised anything. In our opinion this place should be avoided as overpriced and not matching the quality standards. Ah, yes, they brought us 3 euro wine to make us happy and silent. Avoid the place. Don't pay this price, it's not worth it! I don´t know how they get all these great comments, I can suspect only that all are written by their friends. I am a frequent traveller and I can say that this is first time I was...
Read moreI should start with the fact that there is no reception of any kind, so If you want to contact anyone while on your stay, you need an international phone plan to call them. I booked our honeymoon seven months in advance and just two weeks before we left, Kaleidoscope contacts me to tell me that they double booked our stay and we could only stay three out of the original five nights. Apparently they didn't realize their error until just before we got there. The room itself was a total scam. Don't trust the photos. We were forced to walk down a very steep set of stairs (I almost fell twice with my bad knees) to a room about 6'x20'. Our windows were two basement windows where, when standing on a chair, we had an excellent view of our neighbors jacuzzi. and deck. We did not have the view we were guaranteed. We did have a jacuzzi that we had to climb up the rabbit hole steps to get to. But because this place is located under the main sidewalk of Oia, our jacuzzi was the only one exposed to every person walking by. No privacy. We didn't even use it because it gave us the sense of being in a fishbowl. The internet never worked and the bathroom was a ridiculous setup. The shower was separated from the rest of the room by a lip of jagged bricks that were far too convenient fro stubbing toes on. Also, the shower had no curtain or liner, so water would splash all over the entire bathroom floor, leaving the guests to clean up. Simply a total nightmare...
