The rooms are sub-mediocre at best for a 2 star hotel. The beds are TERRIBLE, I had to ask the staff to add an another cushioning layer (and they obliged so thank them for that) because I literally couldn't sleep and I know others had similar complaints here. I also had to switch rooms (again, thanks to the staff) because the first room I was in (I believe 251 or something like that) was literally somehow connected to an another room and I heard the neighbors talk as if they were in my room, initially I thought someone broke in, that first night was hell. The water pressure in rooms is nonexistent, salty water (not drinkable and hard to shower with). The second room we were moved into was much better, but again, with a terrible bed, I think the mattresses weren't changed since the 60s to be honest. The towels are not changed regularly as well. But the staff was always nice and helpful so that's a big plus, I would've swapped hotels right then and there if it weren't for them. I sadly didn't attach any "real" photos of rooms, I forgot. You should NOT rely on the breakfast you get because it's a buffet of literally cooked eggs, cheapest slices of ham, butter, honey etc. The hotel's bar is ok but we never ate lunch there because the food isn't really good and no wonder cocktails are the cheapest you can find in Kamari.
All in all, the location and friendly staff are the biggest plus here. You might also find the style of the hotel appealing if you're into retro stuff since it really is as if you went back in time,...
Read moreElegant and clean hotel in a great location with friendly staff! My first time experiencing salty shower. 1st day, it was okay but the second and third day especially after swimming in the bench or walking during the summer heat and sweating,it can get annoying and the receptionist can’t help. So what helped me: after showering with that salty shower, use a bottle water that you can buy in the supermarket(buy in the supermarket because it’s cheap there) and use it to rinse your body. You will feel the difference!
Apart from the salty shower and the lights that comes in early morning from the above window, our stay wasn’t bad.
Staff including the cleaners were all friendly. Thanks.
FYI: they offer free drink when you check-in in the restaurant. (2)They don’t offer parking but you can easily find parking spots around

Read moreReally friendly budget hotel! It could not be better located, the beach (unfortunately pebbles) is straight across the promenade from the hotel. There is a restaurant attached the hotel but is run independently, residents of the hotel get 10% discount on meals and drinks. On the promenade there are a huge variety of restaurants, bars and shops. There is a bus station within easy walking distance that takes you to the capital Fira and from there you can get buses to various parts of the island. I was there in October and the pool was freezing. The hotel could do with a lick of paint but some might say it's part of its rustic charm. There was only bed and breakfast available and the breakfast was quite disappointing in variety. Cereal, bread, yoghurt, boiled eggs, olives,...
