Lithies Traditional Homes — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

I read the reviews on Lithies Traditional Homes and I have to tell you that it is as wonderful as everyone says. It is the nicest, most beautiful place we have ever stayed. Maria arranged our complimentary ride from the airport. Our arrival was late and Maria was right on it and our driver was there shortly after we landed. I can't tell you how much we appreciated the ease of getting there after flying all night. ||Sonny met our car and carried all our luggage down the many steps to Lithies and as you descend the steps you see the most beautiful of views! As soon as we arrived, Maria greeted us with a hug. She was so warm and friendly. She gave us information for getting around the area, recommended places to eat and showed us around our rooms. We stayed in the Eros House and it was just lovely. There was a complimentary bottle of wine in the room and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the wine and beautiful sunset over the caldera. It was very romantic place to stay.||A delicious breakfast was served at a little table outside our room. I can't say enough good things about Lithies. Maria was available to answer any questions and it was very private with no cruise crowds. It was a short walk into Fira, restaurants and shops. We also hiked to Oia one morning. It took a few hours to hike, but we were right near the trail and the hike had such beautiful views. I would definitely stay here again. It's private and beautiful and the service cannot be beat! ...

Absolutely amazing place. Having read all the reviews I was thinking there is no way this place can actually be this amazing. But it was. The views are out of this world and you have a smaller and larger terrace to enjoy it from without the hustle and bustle that you would have to get similar views elsewhere on the island. The houses were lovely. Really spacious and so well equipped. And actually kept really cool despite the warm temperatures.|The plunge pool is small but perfect, all you need. And pretty amazing staring out at that view from it. | And last but not least Maria and the team. Oh my gosh, never have had hospitality like it, so spoilt. Maria and the team's attention to detail was incredible, from spotlessly clean rooms, to treats in the room, the way they served breakfast and even hanging up our washing while we were out for a walk! Maria gave lots of good advice and was so warm and welcoming. And a special mention to Sonnie for lifting our heavy cases down and back up all those steps,...

If I could give this place 12 stars I would! It was that special||First.. of all the places in the world I’ve traveled, I’ve never experienced the type of service that was provided to me at this establishment. Maria and staff went way above and beyond anticipating my every need. I almost didn’t want to leave this great review so as I could keep this gem to myself. But thought it would be a disservice to the amazing people that work there to not give them the accolades they deserve.||No maids knocking on the door in the early morning hours saying room service… They follow your pace. Upon waking, your breakfast magically appears out on the veranda that overlooks the beautiful vistas of the sea.||The room was immaculate with little added touches added every single night.||I can’t say enough about this amazing property and the people that run it. I never wanted to leave. It was filled with love and exactly what my soul needed. ||Thank you, Lithies for an amazing experience. I hope to be back one...
