Hospedaje Eli — Hotel in Panajachel

I had the opportunity of staying there recently. It was very unfortunate that the room smelled like swege and at night there seemed to be a rat running around the false ceiling of the room. When I left I was asked about any reviews of it but the person I talked with did not even bother to offer a refund or tried to compensate in any way for this really bad experience I had. It was more like so you are leaving, ok... There is great need of cleanliness in the room, inn keepers should actually find out how the service is, there was never a moment for someone to ask how we felt or if we needded help in any way. Poor service. They were not attentive to my needs.The callejon leading to the hospedaje is filled with dog excrement and it is really noisy at night. I was never told if there were other services offered. I saw a description of this place where it says that rooms have flat screen TV's which in the case of the room I stayed in is false. Hopefully this is a learning experience for them to improve, for me it was learning to enquire more about a place before setting foot in the place or even spending a horrible night there such as it...
