I don't want to leave Good Hotel Antigua. It’s truly an oasis in the heart of the city. Perfectly located, it’s close to everything you need, but far enough from the busy areas to avoid noise. The beds are incredibly comfortable, making it hard to get up in the morning! The garden area (Jardín) is stunning, with a tranquil vibe that sets this place apart. The rooms have a stylish, boutique feel, and it’s unbelievable how affordable it is for the quality offered. The front desk staff is incredibly warm and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable. I’m genuinely sad to leave since the hotel is fully booked. One of the coolest aspects is the story behind it. When founder Marten Dresen came to Antigua in 2006 to learn Spanish, he met a local girl named Mirna, who lacked basic essentials like shoes. This encounter inspired him to start three schools, now providing quality education to over 500 children. To fund these schools, Marten developed a unique model where Good Hotel donates all its profits to support this mission. If you’re ever in Antigua, staying here isn’t just a great choice; it’s a chance to be part of something bigger.

The best hotel we stayed at during our 2-week holiday around Guatemala, organised by Mayan Gateway. Staff were super lovely and helpful. Room was simple, modern and luxurious (lots of natural materials) and the grounds were beautiful - our rooms had a volcano view from the patio (with outdoor shower) and all of the rooms opened onto a gorgeous central courtyard landscaped with lovely tropical plants. We really appreciated being able to drink the water straight from the tap! There's a little kitchen where you can also access filtered coffee and make a cup of tea or hot chocolate at any time and relax in the central garden. Our booking included breakfasts at the restaurant next door (Saul) which was delicious. The hotel is also within easy walking distance of many great bars, restaurants and cafes. And best of all I was so happy to read that Good Hotel Antigua is a social enterprise whose profits all go to supporting Guatemalan children with their education. Would recommend!

Loved this place! First of all, the common areas are so beautiful with tropical plants and flowers everywhere. The decor is great, modern but eco friendly. The only downside is the day/night club next door - set in the backyard of a house equipped with a full stage, bar and pool. Beware they will be blasting music on the weekends until 11pm. It’s cool and convenient if you want to party, but if you want to relax it’s not ideal as you can hear the music and bass from your room. Despite that, the staff is amazing - Jennifer at the front desk is so helpful and kind (thank you!). The rooms are very designed beautifully and very clean. The shower products were great and smelled so good - some of my favorites to date! They arranged my Covid test to return to the states, they actually had someone come to my room to test at a reasonable price. Location is great and easy to walk to all of the sites in Antigua! A definite must if you’re looking for a place to stay!

This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel with superb hotel staff and accommodations. The rooms offer simplicity and elegance, while the outdoor living space encourages guests to relax amongst the lovely gardens. The restaurant was the real highlight of our stay...the food was truly spectacular, down to the last morsel. The waitstaff were kind and gracious towards us, even though our Spanish was not so great. If you can, try their Cafe Latte and Al Tonno (to die for). If you are looking for excursions outside of the hotel, the front desk staff are happy to arrange a coffee tour, or even a tour of the schools this hotel supports. The price was pretty average, comparable to any median-priced hotel in the States. The great part is that 100% of their profits go to charity, and each night that you stay, you send a Guatemalan child to school for a week. If we ever have the chance to come back, my partner and I will not hesitate to visit again. Thank you kindly, Good Hotel!....
