We had a great stay here. I think that this hotel fits the area very well. After visiting a few remote villages in Guatemala where comfortable beds and water was limited, Las Cameilas Inn was great. The beds were comfortable and our room was clean. The staff there were also super nice and was great with giving suggestions on places to see and eat. The second floor patio area was really nice and we were able to see the volcanoes really well. The patio and outdoor seating felt very homey and relaxing. The breakfast they served there was delicious and was very fresh. The only thing to note is that due to the size and openness of the building, voices echo really loud throughout the hallways.

Everything was good about this place. Very clean and almost 9 min walking far from center of Antigua. Staff weren't very friendly. I felt they were more exhausted 😩. The only downside of this place was that they charged me 150 Quetzal ($26 CAD ) for a few dark stains on a towel, which my newly-colored hair left on towel. I told them that would be gone by bleach, but they didn't accept and charged me 150 Q. I paid that money but I wasn't happy about their attitude towards a tourist. The value of that towel might be less than 10 USD.

Highly recommend this place for the price! Nice rooms and comfortable beds. Modern bathroom, with good shower head and warm water. Gardens and terrace were lovely. Staff was friendly and helpful. Front Entrance was locked at all times, staff let you in and out, felt very safe. Can be a little noisy at time when guests are walking around chatting (had a couple who like to post outside our room and talk loudly, little frustrating). This place had a great location. Easy access to walk to anything you want!

While location was a very comfortable 5 minute walk from the park, the rest of our stay was sadly a bad experience.

Although we asked prior to our stay for information about their parking booking.com, they answered but never stated the precise location. So we arrived directly to reception to ask directions, and after 25-30 minutes of waiting for the receptionist to be free (a lady doing a personal phone call), we had to ask the second receptionist who did not knew much and was not be able to have a clear answer. So, we had to wait untill the other receptionist was available to have time for the waiting customers, and tell us where the parking lot was located.

We got the address, parked and spend the day happily in Antigua.

Once we were ready to go back and rest, very tired of a long day, (they asigned us the ground floor corner room) we entered the room, with two beds, snacks, fridge, desk and bathroom with towels. It was looking decent, nothing extraordinary, but as soon as I sat on the bed, the sheets and pillows were already worn out from so much use. It felt very unhygienic to sleep in that bed all night, but we stayed without complaining.

Thankfully we stayed just one night there, because I could not move the entire night thinking of how unhygienic it felt to put my face and body on those bedsheets. We paid a decent amount, in hopes of having a good experience to recommmend for our future international friends who are coming to our wedding in coming april 2025. But, definitely now we know where NOT to stay nor recommend.

Their website markets the place nicely and decent, but it turned out to be very...

This is a reasonably priced property and rooms are basic but very comfortable. As others have stated, bathroom is small. But the setup with shower and toilet in bath, and sink in room allowed for flexible use of the space by myself and my roommate. Rooms are situated around a small, central courtyard where flowers were in beautiful bloom. ||||The view of the volcanoes from the rooftop deck is exceptional. Beer is available for purchase (until 10PM) and sipping our beers while watching Fuego was a fabulous experience. Complimentary coffee is available 24/7, an essential for early morning airport departures. Staff was friendly and helpful. Secure off street parking is available adjacent to the property. ||||Location cannot be beat. It is within easy walking distance of all that Antigua has to offer. Noise can be a factor, especially on a busy Saturday night in the city. Traveling with earplugs is...
