Well, It's clean, good staff, good location, rooms are nice and spacious. Yet my issue was the extremely thin walls. To the point in my 20 years of traveling all over the world I've never seen that before. In the washroom, you can hear people behind the wall in another room applying lotion to their skin or brushing their teeth. I am not even talking about other things we all do there... It is so bad, when you close your eyes, it's like they are there in the same bathroom. It's slightly better in in the room, but not by much. You can CLEARLY hear people talking and I can hear and understand their words(not just muffled sounds, but every word). ||I find it quite unacceptable. There's should be at least some level of privacy given to each of us. ||I stayed in the room upstairs, I don't know if 1st floor rooms are any better. Owners should fix this and it's not that hard. I do not believe a single guest would want ANY of their toilet experiences to be...
Read moreGreat place for groups. Stayed here with a large group and would recommend. Might be fine for solo travelers as well but can't really say. The staff was very accommodating and present. There was always someone at the front desk (often times more than one person) to help, and the rooms and halls were cleaned daily. Not sure what it was but the hotel always just smelled really nice. The breakfast service was very good, fresh coffee is available all day, as well as beer and coke in the lobby. The laundry service was good as well, just make sure you ask when it'll be ready. They accepted US dollars and I was able to communicate with them even though I only speak English. The showers were hot all week. There were some fluctuations in water pressure and temp, but not a big deal. There's a main courtyard but it's not open to the public in the way that some other hotels are in town. Overall it felt very...
Read moreThe hotel was lovely outside, it has lots of plants, quaint decor and a rooftop terrace where you can see Fuego erupting both during the day & at night. |Breakfast was okay, bearing in mind this is a budget hotel. Staff friendly. |There are safes for valuables and you can leave your key in reception whilst you are out.|The rooms are big enough and the shower / toilet area is fine. There is a kitchen sink and a fridge. |The beds were really hard and are on wooden blocks which you can catch your feet on which we did more than once. |There were 2 hairdryers which were to do 30 rooms, each room sleeps at least 5 people. It was not enough. Also the rooms were cold. Apart from this I enjoyed my stay. It feels very safe and there are lots of lovely...
