This is the worst experience of my life. Totally ruined my vacation. It was so terrible that I was ready to call the police to report the outright fraud of the Owners. The condition of the rooms is simply catastrophic. We arrived at 15:00 and our room was absolutely not ready for our arrival. Cleaning was not done at all. There were traces of glasses and bread crumbs on the tables, hair in the "fresh" bed, only one small towel in the room although there were two of us and this towel was dirty. The photos indicated in Booking do not correspond to reality at all. Absolutely everything was broken in the room: from coat hangers to the shower. The cheapest furniture possible and in terrible condition, thousand-year-old dust on the baseboards, windowsill. The sofa in the room was in such a state as if it was brought from a homeless shelter. The courtyard stinks terribly of urine, pieces of the facade are falling off, although in the presentation photos the courtyard looks like an art gallery. After thinking everything over, we decided to leave these apartments immediately. To do this, I raised the issue with the support service via WhatsApp chat, where they confirmed a 100% refund. We immediately rented a room in another hotel nearby. 2 hours later, I received a new message that the owner changed his mind and is now ready to return only 50% of the price. I spent two days on edge and on the phone with Booking to settle this issue. Only after threats of negative reviews on all platforms did they agree to refund the funds. And there were problems with this too, because they did not set up communication with Booking, which added difficulties. Because of this, I received enormous stress, was unable to rest from the flight and spent the next two days in the hospital with a terrible attack of jet lag, I thought I would not survive. There has been multiple bad reviews about poor apartment conditions and a broken lift for months before booking but I assumed those were rare cases since the average rating was relatively high. Boy, I was wrong! We visit Budapest regularly and have stayed at many places, but this was by far the most frustrating experience. Completely ignored by management/guest relations, and their negligence completely ruined our stay and holiday. Facilities advertised on their listing is false and misleading and are of poor quality. We booked a deluxe apartment that was supposed to include a washing machine, as listed in the description and facilities, but there was none in our room. The lift was not working, but even the WiFi, AC & TV were not working. Despite multiple attempts to reach management to resolve these issues at least basic amenities, we were completely ignored. On the second day, our keycards failed leaving us locked out. We received a vague message telling us to get the master key card but with no details on where or how.
