Our stay at this hotel ranks among the worst experiences we've ever had in Berlin.||The only thing that matters here is that the guest pays in advance. After that, the guest is of no interest to the hotel. Everything is largely automated, yet nothing works.||The biggest joke: The life was broken for days, according to reviews, even for weeks. We initially had rooms on the fifth floor, and the broken lift was not mentioned. We repeatedly saw families in the stairwell struggling to carry their strollers up and down the stairs.||The air conditioning was also broken. The windows cannot be opened because the building is located directly at a busy intersection where the noise is unbearable, and you are suffocated by exhaust fumes.||We paid for rooms with air conditioning and a functioning life—these amenities were part of the contract. Refund? None.||The cooking facilities are completely impractical. The photos suggest that there is a dining table in the rooms, which was not the case for us. Instead, there was only a sofa and a coffee table, which is unsuitable for dining. The whole apartment is a complete design failure in this regard. You can't cook properly, let alone eat.||The room size is falsely stated. At a very generous estimate, it is a maximum of 25 sqm, but certainly not 34. Again, what was promised in the contract was not delivered.||All in all, the appearance could not compensate for this completely botched and frustrating stay. Considering that nothing works and the room is utterly impractical, this place is simply too expensive. There are better alternatives in Berlin...
Read moreThe staff is very friendly and the location is amazing. However there are some things I didn't like about the room / hotel. Our room was on top of the hotels Restaurant and we could hear the music playing as well as the music of a club nearby. It was so loud, we could hear people screaming and partying inside the club. The walls of the hotel are so thin, you can hear everything (yes, everything...) and everyone, especially the cleaning ladies talking loudly outside our room at 6am or the pulling out of the restaurants sunroof at 7am. There are no electric outlets next to the bed, which I personally found a little strange and extremely unpractical. All in all, there are almost no outlets so I had to charge my phone in the kitchen. There are no light switches next to the bed either. The bathroom is nice and clean but it is quite dark and there is no mirror light for doing makeup. The bed is not a double bed but two seperate beds, so there is a gap in between. Also the room didn't have any dark curtains so it was really bright early in the morning. Including the light in the morning and the noise outside the room, we could barely sleep longer than 7am and kept getting woken up by whatever was going on outside. Some positive things innthe end: the AC worked very well and there is an elevator. All in all it didn't look or feel like a 4 Star hotel, it felt more like 3 stars and I must say, i was a little disappointed because it did cost 160€...
Read moreAlways difficult to know when you book online. However took the general reviews of others before me and am happy to say I am not disappointed that I did. As I'm from London it felt a little like being in the middle of Soho-similar vibe, similar diversity and felt completely safe even returning late at night. If you want complete quiet then maybe this is not for you however the only things that really disturbed me were rubbish collection one morning and Saturday night. No more than would be at home to be honest. Proximity to public transport and amenities was fantastic and once you've sussed the public transport options you can pretty much get to anything you might want to see within 30 mins. Even the newly built stadium- the reason for our trip was the athletics world championship was less than 40 mins and that was in fairly busy traffic. We also took a bus to the spa- fabulous and again there within 25 mins. The staff were friendly and attentive and if you like travelling where you are confined to getting up for breakfast then this is perfect as you are able to cater for yourself. The room provides an under counter fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, sink, drainer, tea towels and plates, glasses and cutlery. Would not hesitate...
