Great staying at this hotel (85% positive)

Arrival was very smooth, everything was clearly explained to me, the receptionist was really nice and was even able to give me the room a little bit early 1pm (it’s supposed to be 2pm). Before my arrival I received a mail with useful informations.

The hotel is perfectly located, easy to find from the subway and allowed me to do a lot of activities by foot.

The room and bathroom are super clean and tidy, confortable, spacious. I didn’t need the heater all week and turn it off. The 2 additional blue blanket were warm and soft, I really liked them. The cleaning is done everyday and they changer sheets and towels every 2 days which is enough and more respectful for the environment, value that I share and I’m happy to see in hotels.

The included breakfast offers a large choice BUT if you have allergies (dairy and egg for me) no allergens are written up and you don’t have many choices, and as the allergens aren’t written I didn’t take any risk. Otherwise it’s very healthy breakfast and their coffee is really good. The highlight of this breakfast is clearly the staff, big thank to Carlos who was all smiling and remembered how I take my coffee, the perfect way to start a day, it really does brighten your staying in a hotel when people working there put an extra effort in service and I was really able to feel that, it felt way more than a 2 stars hotel.

If you are a light sleeper, I heavily recommend you take ear plugs or ask for a very quiet room. Even if the rooms are nicely isolated from the outside. The garbage truck at 6 am (only once a week) can still wake you up OR if you have very loud neighbors that can be a big flaw. One of the receptionist told me for a next time to ask for a quiet room that can be more calm and this applies if you are a light sleeper like me.

Overall I really appreciated my staying despite my little lack of good sleep, the hotel has a charm in his decoration and gardens and everything, it’s really the best location you can want, and the staff...

We stayed 30/09/23 till 03/10/23 Room 1/4.|This hotel has everything you need.|The apartment / room building at the rear was modern, an elevator, I think it was only 2 stories high. The suite we had, had 2 floors. An American style open living room and kitchen. The kitchen was fully equipped, washing machine, microwave, hob, dishwasher, coffee machine with complimentary coffee capsules etc. there was also a toilet on the ground floor. The bedroom upstairs was in a mezzanine style with an open staircase. A bathroom off the bedroom, extremely powerful shower, it was like having a massage, fantastic. Toilet, sink and was fully stocked with toiletries.|The breakfast was amazing, 0700-1100. Everything you needed for a good breakfast. Many cold meats, cheeses, bread rolls, yogurts, danish pasties, eggs, hot sausages and beans.|The breakfast must be good as the hotel offers breakfast to people not stopping there, obviously at a charge. They must get 100 people plus for breakfast.|The location was unbelievable, 5 minutes walk and you are among shops, bars, restaurants, all within the heart of the city.|5 minutes walk from public transport that we caught at the airport. 15 minutes walk to historical monument, bridges linking Buda to Pest etc. |The room was very clean, with crisp white clean bedding. There is a lovely garden, where you can have a drink, relax or even eating breakfast outside.|The staff were great, absolutely no problems there.|Would I recommend this hotel, most definitely, for all the right reasons. We will use it again. |Overall hotel experience,...

From the moment I stepped into Mika Hotel, I was enveloped in an ambiance of tranquility and comfort that made my stay unforgettable. The standout feature, without a doubt, is the staff's exceptional politeness and professionalism. Every interaction, whether it was at check-in or casual inquiries, was handled with a warmth and efficiency that speaks volumes of their commitment to guest satisfaction.

The rooms at Mika Hotel are a testament to their dedication to quality and comfort. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, they provided a serene haven to retreat to after a day of activities. The attention to detail in the room amenities, from the luxurious bedding to the state-of-the-art entertainment system, ensured a stay that was both relaxing and indulgent.

Moreover, the cleanliness of the hotel deserves a special mention. It's evident that meticulous care is taken to maintain every corner of the hotel, from the polished floors to the pristine bathrooms. This commitment to cleanliness added an extra layer of comfort to my stay, making me feel completely at ease.

In conclusion, Mika Hotel is more than just a place to stay; it's an experience that prioritizes guest comfort and satisfaction at every turn. Really good location, it’s less than 10 minutes to the stop from the airport bus and is located right in the downtown area of the city. The room was quite large and had everything you needed such as towels and a coffee machine, there was also A/C however I don’t think it was working 100% efficiently as I had it on 16 degrees and it was still on the warmer side. I also don’t really understand how you are meant to open and close the curtains as the ceiling is extremely high!! I ended up just leaving these closed for the entire stay. The majority of the staff were really friendly and spoke good English. You also get a free drinks token to use in the bar downstairs. Breakfast was a decent selection and there was a nice garden you could sit in outside, I was a bit confused that on some days I got a coffee made for me and some days I didn’t. It was however quite loud when they were playing music in the bar downstairs and there was very loud construction which started at 7 each morning.

In case of a fire, you will be a casualty. The only way to go up or down is by means of the elevator. If that one doesn't work, you can not take the stairs because it's all a one way lock. This means that someone from staff will have to come up to unlock a door. The emergency plan they printed out does not correspond with the actuality of the building. There are doors and stairs on there, which don't exist. The only route for me to get out was a barricaded door, which required 4 folks from staff to clear. The total time needed for me to leave the floor was 50 minutes. The alternative would have been through the window at about 4 meters up. They also advertise with having a fitness centre on booking.com but that's a lie.
