We visited twice. The first night was amazing. Quick service and amazing food. We came back a second night on our trip. To be heavily disappointed. This review is getting three stars because night one was so good. We were waiting so long for our starter, which was bread and dip (close to half an hour) and around the same time after our starter to receive out main course. (Lasagne and a pizza)
Eventually it arrived. The pizza was bland, tasteless amd soggy. The lasagne lacked flavour. Considering we ordered the same thing a few night before when it was amazing. This shows huge inconsistency in the kitchen staff and their abilities. The same goes for the service on the second Night. It was very slow and border line rude. The service on night one was elite. They were amazing on night one and lacklustre on night two.
We weren't the only table having issues. Another table had a lasagne and a pasta dish brought down. The wrong pasta dish was served and taken away. They person ordered lasagne had theres eaten and the other persons replacement still had not hit the table
The gave us our one starter for free but tbh this wasn't good enough. A complimentary drink would have been appreciated and went along way towards softening the blow.
Night one the pizza came out with a pizza cutter. On night two a knife. I asked for a pizza cutter, the waitress came back and cut it with a scissors.
When the bill came and I was asked was all ok. I mentioned how the service was so slow and the food lacklustre. Which was evident as most was still sitting on the plate. My response wasn't know sorry'.
Risk it if you like. But I...
Read moreLa Bocca Brunch and Italian Restaurant is a place we wholeheartedly recommend! From the moment we walked in, we felt a warm, welcoming Italian atmosphere, and the service was incredibly kind and attentive. A special thank you goes to the lovely waiter who not only served us with great hospitality but also saved the day for our little son by retrieving his favorite toy car – such gestures stay in your heart for a long time.
We ordered the pizza capricciosa – thin crust, crispy edges, and delicious, high-quality toppings – a true taste of Italy. The carbonara was creamy, perfectly seasoned, with the rich flavor of pancetta and parmesan coming through beautifully. The shrimp salad was fresh, light, and full of flavor – a perfect choice for lunch.
For dessert, we had the classic tiramisu – simply divine! Light and fluffy, with just the right balance of coffee and liqueur – exactly how real tiramisu should taste.
We also visited for breakfast, and both the quality and presentation were impressive.
La Bocca is a place that will stay in our memories – the food, the atmosphere, and above all, the people make it truly special. We’ll...
Read moreWe asked for recommendations on the best dishes for two and ended up ordering the following:
The Caesar salad was good but it's dress was with some flavor of mayonnaise.
The strawberry lemonade was very refreshing and quite good.
The truffle tortellini had a nice flavor, though we felt the sauce could have been cheesier and less like mayonnaise (the same as in the Cesar salad).
I believe it was the cacio e pepe pasta with Alfredo sauce—personally, I found it not buttery enough, my wife loved it and the rest dishes (she would give 4 to this place).
The service was good. They are adding 15% service automatically if you are paying in CC and then asking to add more as the service payment is "going to the owner", I wanted to leave a good tip to the young guy anyway. Btw: this didn't happen in the "Hell's Kitchen Budapest" restaurant where the service is exceptional good and...
