My stay at the EST Grand Hotel Savoy was overall pleasant, though relatively basic. It’s a small hotel with narrow corridors, and the rooms are packed close together, so noise can be an issue. I could hear my next-door neighbour coughing, laughing, and making other sounds and was woken up by a garbage truck at 5 a.m. due to poor soundproofing. If you’re sensitive to noise, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The fitness centre is the smallest and least equipped I’ve seen in any hotel claiming to have one. It’s also not accessible 24/7 – only from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. – so if working out is important during your stay, it’s worth considering other options. The check-out time is also earlier than most hotels in Budapest, at 11 a.m. instead of 12 p.m., so be aware of that.

On a more positive note, I was given a free upgrade to a spacious and pleasant room with good amenities. The slippers, for instance, were of higher quality than expected, and there was a TV with YouTube access – always a nice touch. While there are no complimentary water bottles in the room, tap water in Budapest is safe to drink, so it wasn’t an issue. The hotel’s central location is also convenient, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby and excellent access to public transport.

I’d also like to highlight Irina at the front desk, who was exceptionally friendly and welcoming – definitely one of the highlights of my stay.

Would I recommend staying here? For a good price and a short stay, sure. But would I stay here again? Probably not, as Budapest offers better hotels for around the same price, or slightly more – but those are definitely worth...

EST Grand Hotel Savoy Budapest is located in Jozsef District close to Lujza Blaha Square where is metro and tram and you can go almost everywhere in Budapest from here. When we came for check-in, was very smooth with Krisztian and he explained everything what we wanted to know. Then we went to our room (634) located on the 6th floor and it was very nicely designed room with all you need for your 3 days trip. Maybe only the mattress was too soft for me but 100 people 100 tastes. The room was very quiet. In the bathroom the shower had very good strong pressure. The sauna and fitness room is also very good benefit in hotel and we used once. The breakfast was also good. You can find everything what you want from breakfast in the hotel. Every member from the staff was great and smiling which is also good in the morning. We also check-out very early so we couldn’t reach the breakfast time but Mr. Florian gave us breakfast to go and it was delicious on the way to the airport. Overall EST GHS is very good choice if you plan to go to Budapest and I can’t wait to come again in the future. Thanks to all members of the team it was really pleasure to stay on this magnificent place...

We stayed in Room 423, a classic double with a spacious terrace. Despite being in a lively area, the room was wonderfully quiet, with modern décor, a comfortable bed, and a spotless bathroom. Our terrace/courtyard did not have a view, but was useful for drying our clothes!! |The location was perfect—close to public transport and within easy walking distance of Budapest’s highlights.|Breakfast was a daily treat, fresh and varied with small changes each morning, and the service from the front desk and dining team was always friendly, attentive, and accommodating. |The rooftop bar was a particular highlight, offering breathtaking city views and great hospitality from the barman. We spent time here on a number of evenings; the sunsets were magical!|This hotel strikes the perfect balance between comfort, style, and value, offering a touch of luxury without breaking the bank. The combination of clean, well-appointed rooms, excellent amenities, and friendly staff made our stay truly memorable. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone...

We were very lucky to have 3 nights in budapest gifted to us by our daughter as part of our golden wedding anniversary! The grand savoy is easy to find (only 5 minutes walk from the airport shuttle bus stop) Cannot praise the hotel enough! Renovated in 2022 everything is classy and new! Staff are all friendly and efficient! Our double bed suite was clean spacious and the bed was perfect! The bathroom was again a great size and immaculately decorated! The maidservice is very good and the breakfast is superbe! A lot of choice A 5 minute walk gets you to the tube, busses and trams. All free for usas we are over 65 yrs old! The hop on hop off sight seeing bus stop is also just 5 mins walk and a 2 day ticket is very good value! The hotel has a foyer and rooftop bar! You need to check out the roof bar for the views! We would certainly go back to this terrific hotel and definitely recommend it!
