Little Americas Downtown Studios — Hotel in Budapest

We stayed for 4 nights during a short city break to Budapest and chose an apartment so we could cook food we bought from the markets.  This particular apartment's biggest draw for us was its location in central Pest close to loads of great bars, restaurants and tourist attractions.

Looking at previous ratings it is obvious that this must have been a very nice apartment in its hay-day however time has definitely taken its toll. The fittings are now all very tired and shabby; with lights that don't work, broken bulbs that haven't been replaced, blinds that don't cover the windows and plug sockets no-longer secured to the wall. The general level of cleanliness was questionable with the most obvious example being that when we opened the wardrobe to unpack we were greeted by the previous occupants' dirty towels and bed linen.  The bed (a mattress on the mezzanine floor) and the sofa bed were both badly stained, the pillows were old, well used scatter cushions and the duvet was two children's single duvets. After our first night on the mezzanine bed we both awoke to find we'd been quite severely bitten, these got worse over the following nights until we moved down to the sofa where we later woke up without the nightly nibble having taken place. The fun and games continued with both a daily 0630 wake up call from the renovation work taking place in the building and a lack of, initially hot water and later in the stay, any water whatsoever.

With a small amount of investment of time and money we are sure this apartment could be returned to its former glory but until then we urge a drastic lowering of...

The driver who picked us up from the airport was asking for 830 Euro. We were specifically told via email not to pay the driver. He was rude and asked us to leave if we don't pay up. So we we're on the streets at 3:00 am after traveling 6 hours from Dubai. Fist time in Hungary. I am sure there are better people...

Pro:struttura in un'ottima posizione, proprio vicino ad una delle strade principali dello shopping e ben collegata (metro, vari bus e molti taxi bolt vicini); rapporto qualità/prezzo abbastanza conveniente se non si pretende molto; staff molto disponibile, risponde subito in chat.

Contro: innanzitutto la presenza di una sola chiave per 4 persone è un aspetto del tutto negativo; la casa non è per 4 persone ma al massimo per 2, il letto superiore è letteralmente un materasso buttato a terra e sopra c'è un caldo terribile; inoltre, visto che nel prezzo erano compresi 35 euro di pulizia, ci si aspettava una casa priva di polvere, cosa che invece non è accaduto: c'era polvere e capelli dovunque, soprattutto sui letti e sulla cucina (oltre che sul pavimento); il divano-letto era piccolo per due persone ed inoltre era durissimo.
