Read moreWe really impressed about this restaurant with the great historical theme and live music. That is why I and my husband purposely to go there have some dessert though we were full after our full meal.
When we stepped in the restaurant tonight around 8:45 pm, a female staff came and led us to sit inside section. I politely to ask her can we sit outside so we can listen to the live band. I saw there are some empty tables . She said the outside seating is only for the dinner not for the dessert customers. I ask if she can handle it flexible, as it seems the chances to fill up that few small tables are very low towards to that time close to 9 pm. This female staff is rude to tell us no. Then we followed her to sit inside. I saw 2 tables inside that is close to the live music bands still not cleaned up yet, then I ask this female staff can we sit there. She showed very impatiently to talk to me that we can’t sit. And then a waitress came , this female staff was talking to the waitress use their language to look at me impolitely. The waitress responded to this female staff by showing a facial expression to me. I truly feel this female staff look down and belittle us with my strong feeling. I really feel such a beautiful restaurant in a 5 stars international chain hotel to hire such a staff is truly a shamefully experience. How can that happen a staff dare to show such ill and impolite behavior to the customer by insulting behavior in a such well known restaurant in Budapest!
I hope the management of the restaurant could investigate and follow up closely what happened tonight. We feel insult and unhappy. Eventually we left and no order anything .
Thank you for the follow up . Today’s date : May 7 Time: Around...
Read moreWhat can I say? The restaurant premises are fabulously beautiful, so for the atmosphere 5, that’s all. Price/quality ratio 3 points. A little heads up for those who are traveling to Budapest to relax, like we did. Don't eat there. Drink coffee or tea or something alcoholic, take a cake, but don't have lunch like we did. So, service. We reserved a table in advance. Otherwise, we wouldn't get in. In principle, ok, considering the beauty of the place and those who want to get there. I was pleasantly surprised by the smile and friendliness of the waiter. But. ...In the entire establishment, they place cutlery directly on the granite table! Next, our dishes were served to us while we washed our hands, we were not present. We came back and our main courses are standing and getting cold! Friends, this is too much of a tourist trap. There is etiquette, after all! Next, price - quality. We ordered a bottle of champagne, Karpati style Pike perch fillet, Budapest style beef Tenderloin, and dessert from the special menu. The pike was disgusting, frozen, fried, and the side dish was not tasty, as if something had been reheated yesterday, but maybe it was?! We paid about 50 euros for this dish. The beef cost about the same, but it was delicious. The dessert was not particularly impressive, something small and expensive. The prices are very high for this quality of food. Hence the conclusion, a purely tourist place, designed for traffic. I wish you not to fall for this. Budapest has very beautiful and delicious restaurants, with fresh food, and great service that is much cheaper. Again, you can visit the place for the beautiful atmosphere and order a cup of coffee, it’s...
