Mono Apartments — Hotel in Budapest

Definitely, not worth the money. About £226 for two people two nights. Uncared for and many faults.Good location and bed comfortable otherwise shabby with many irritating problems.. Electricity went and took hours and many phone-calls to fix. Bulb to bedside lamp gone and not replaced when asked. , Water all over bathroom floor wouldn't drain, towels very thin and cheap, ditto pillow. No cloths to wipe up floods in bathroom. Hot tap to bathroom basin had no pressure at all. No where to put washbag. No-where to put suitcases. I suspect someone took the time and trouble to put in a roll-top bath and vintagey looking furniture without thinking about the practicalities. They then gave up! The kitchen cabinet is far too high even for very tall people and the kettle fused the entire place. The curtains were falling down. When we phoned about the electricity, it was first suggested that we fiddle with the fuse box ourselves (high up under the ceiling above some rubbish bins, no ladder, just a ricket)y chair.
