This was the perfect place for me!
I was greeted ever so kindly by Aron on my arrival who (much to my objection) carried my bags up to the third floor for me and then proceeded to give me a tour. There are two kitchens (one on the third floor, the other on the second) where you can help yourself to whatever is there such as tea bags, cereal, etc. There are also two bathrooms (both on the second floor), one has a small bathtub while the other has a shower. It should be noted that everything was super clean and lovely! Aron then gave me wonderful suggestions in regards to what to eat and do around Reykjavik. His welcome really warmed me in regards to arriving alone in Iceland that night! The beds are comfortable (you are also given extra bedding to make it softer if you like) and the rooms are cozy! It should be noted that, because of it being located right on the main shopping street (the absolute perfect location!), it can be rather loud on Friday and Saturday nights. I got to fall asleep to the lull of a metal band those nights BUT if you bring ear plugs or a fan you'll be fine because the rest of the week is DEAD quiet (seriously it can be a little eerie, haha).
