We stayed in this hotel for approximately two days. Finding rooms in Mumbai can be quite challenging; you often need to pre-book well in advance. The room service was excellent, with quick responses, even in the middle of the night. We once requested water, and it was promptly delivered. The hotel had a restaurant below, offering a wide range of options, from breakfast and lunch to dinner, snacks, and chaats. In Mumbai, finding a good room for around 3.5k per day can be a real challenge. We also explored luxurious hotels, where the cost was around 10k per day, but the location wasn't ideal. Since we were eager to explore Mumbai, we didn't plan to spend much time in the hotel. Our routine was leaving the hotel at 6 in the morning and returning around 7 in the evening. We consider ourselves lucky to have found this hotel. It had excellent air conditioning, and the building was relatively new, making everything clean and well-maintained. While it was a bit pricey at 3.5k per day, we paid 7k for two days. Honestly, we couldn't find many better options after thoroughly searching through Mumbai's hotels. Other options were either too expensive, poorly located, offered extremely small and stuffy rooms, or were far from the beach.

Hotel City Palace ‘Hotel City Palace’ is located opposite C.S.T. Station Main Gate on Walchand Hirachand Marg in Mumbai. It is at a distance of 400m from C.S.T. Station, Mumbai. All the main tourist attractions in Mumbai are within the reach from this hotel; Gateway of India at 2 Km, Marine drive at 2 Km, Jehangir Art Gallery and Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Museum at 1 Km and Hanging gardens at 6 Km. I stayed here for 1 day with my family during our family trip to Mumbai. Room sizes are a bit small, but the room was neat and clean. Wi-Fi facility was available, and speed was also good. Hot water facility was ok. The staffs at the hotel are helpful and co-operative. As the hotel has 5 floors, it has a lift facility for convenience of guests. There is no separate parking space for vehicles; you have to park your vehicle on road at your own. Public transport modes like Train/Bus/Taxis are easily available any time, as the location of the hotel is good. The hotel has not its own restaurant, but there is a restaurant named 'Shivala' at ground floor. Unmarried couples are strictly not allowed. If you want to book economy hotel near C.S.T. Station, then ‘Hotel City Palace’ is the good option for you.

This place is total waste of money and time both, I went to Mumbai on Family trip and booked this hotel as it was looking very nice online. After reaching hotel I found nothing as described online. Just wasted one complete day and night coz of this hotel. This hotel room is just 7 feet by 7 feet which is just very similar to the rooms of central jail. Wifi doesn't work in this hotel. Mobile network and 3G/4G also doesnt work in my room. Sometimes I don't even get even a single signal bar. They do not have option to warm up the packed food too. Blankets are used and stinky. Hotel informed me that they do not provide remote to change temprature of stand alone AC of any room and everytime I want to increse or decrease temprature of my AC I have to call on reception and they will send somebody in the room with the remote of AC to change the temprature. They totwlly denied to gove remote as according to hotel policy they do not gove remote of AC to any guest. Even water jugs were empty. Now I am not sure what I am paying 4000 rupees aper night for and I feel totally cheated.

As the experience I had at this hotel three months back was so good, I decided to come back. But the second visit was unfortunently nothing but unpleasent.

We came to stay two nights and experienced the manager / receptionist as rude, disrespectful and not service oriented at all. We experienced being laughed at in front of other guests and staff, as well as we got talked about in hindi right in front of us, as if we weren't present. This happened when we asked if they had a refrigirator we could use and if not, then the possibility to buy ice. And when asking for access to the outside area, (the rooftop or the balcony). Which we were indeed denied acces to even though it's advertised as included in your stay. When asking for an explanation as to why we couldn't use the outside area he got really angry and ordered us multiple times to go to our room without any explanation. Even though there might be the possible cultural differences, it did not make us feel welcome or respected, and is something that we have not experienced before during our three months travel in India.

The room we got had no windows, no ventilation, but was exeptionally sanitary. The staff is generally friendly and observant, but I have rarely met a hotel manager/ receptionist with so little hospitality and solution orientation. He seemed the happiest if he did not get disturbed, and he could sit with his headphones on, not having to deal with guests or their inquiries.

I will not be coming back to the City Hotel, and can not recommend anyone booking...

Its a budget hotel located at Fort, Mumbai around 1 km south of Mumbai CST station. I booked the standard room online through make my trip for around Rs 3500 for 2 nights. We were 2 people.

PROS- Complimentary breakfast from 8 to 10 am.. 1 veg item and 1 non veg item mostly omlette. Dont expect much! Good location. Its located very close to Gateway of India and other tourist points. Good markets and restaurants around.. Hot water facility.

CONS- The room for 2 people is small as a rat hole!! Hardly any place to walk.. The bed provided was very small. It could hardly accommodate both of us. Very bad experience at night!! The toilet seat was broken and the shower was not working!! Service was not that great. We had to call the reception again and again so that we could get our complimentary tea bags and sugar and dairy sachets.. The hotel from inside is very congested.. No Lift and stairs are so tall i felt like climbing a mountain.. No Wi-fi. Bad room service. We had to specially tell them to clean our rooms. Highly over priced food options. We had ordered 3 cups of tea as it was not mentioned on menu. Still they provided us tea but charged Rs 50 for each cup making it 150 rs in total. Plus the tea was very bad... Very noisy corridors!! We cudnt sleep whole night coz the staff were quite loud and banging doors. The partitions between rooms also is very thin. You can hear whats happening...

I was on business trip from Dubai. I check in early morning 2am. I was hungry exhausted requested some breakfast which there were eagerly provided with hot milk. The Gold coast hotel situated in heart of city where you see all kinds of eatery from Punjab to south Indian vegetarian all down the hotel. I spend 3 nights am enjoying my stay. The room service and house keeping great, always waiting to serve you any hours. Morning breakfast is free provided in room. Tip of finger you get boys to do errand for you buy any grocery to medicine. Hotel is more of homely with clean bed and toilet. For the price am paying it is value for money in all aspects. The best part is the A/C so quiet one can have good night sleep, no need to wake up middle of night to adjust AC, which normally happen in all star hotels. I extended my stay one more night see more of Mumbai, city of eateries spread all over every corner. My enjoying my meals in different restaurant all reasonable priced. Reception always very helpful providing extra service; laundry ironing any information guest needs. I would say I enjoyed my stay in Gold coast, I would recommend any traveller visiting Bombay to choose Gold coast for travel, food, all down the hotel. The famous restaurant Sher -E- Punjab which is land mark. I shall visit again the famous Mumbai with my...
