Food Quality and Taste The star of the show is, of course, the Pav Bhaji. The bhaji, a rich and flavorful vegetable curry, is cooked to perfection with a blend of spices that strike the perfect balance between tangy and spicy. The pav, or bread rolls, are buttery, soft, and toasted just right, complementing the bhaji beautifully. The stall uses fresh ingredients, and the taste reflects the quality. Each bite is a delightful burst of flavors, with the smooth texture of the bhaji melding perfectly with the crisp, buttery pav. Toppings like chopped onions, a squeeze of lemon, and a dollop of butter elevate the dish further, making it an indulgent treat. Service The service is quick and efficient, even during peak hours. The staff is friendly and accommodating, always ready to customize the spice level according to your preference. They maintain high hygiene standards, which is commendable for a street food setup. Price One of the best aspects of this Pav Bhaji stall is its affordability. The generous portions and high-quality ingredients make it a great value for money. It’s an excellent option for a quick, delicious, and pocket-friendly meal.

Cannon Pav Bhaji, situated opposite Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai, has long been celebrated as a go-to spot for this iconic street food. Known for its rich, flavorful bhaji paired with buttery, toasted pav, it has attracted both locals and tourists seeking an authentic Mumbai culinary experience. Its a quite old place with its unchanged taste of food, especially their Pav-bhaji. This outlet was started by a retired military officer. Hence, the name "CANNON". Also, this place employess mostly womens who are widows of miltary personnel's. However, I am not really sure about this fact but yes this place employees womens which is a great example of women empowerment. Whatever the story is the Pav-Bhaji here is one of the best in Mumbai if not the best ! A must try if you are visting Mumbai ! Apart from pav-bhaji the other dishes you can try is gulab jamun, gahar halwa, sabudana khichdi, vada pav, besan ladu etc. They also have chaas, lassi etc as well which goes pretty well with the pav bhaji !!!

I had the opportunity to visit Canon Pav Bhaji at CSMT Mumbai a few years ago, and back then, I had a delightful experience with their delicious pav bhaji. However, during my recent visit, I couldn't help but notice a noticeable decline in the overall quality of the food.

While the ambiance and location remained unchanged, the taste and presentation of the pav bhaji seemed lacking compared to my previous visit. The dish lacked the same flavors and richness that I had come to associate with Canon Pav Bhaji. It was disappointing to see that the quality had degraded over time.

On the positive side, the staff was still courteous and attentive, making the dining experience somewhat better. However, the essence of a memorable meal lies in the food itself, and unfortunately, the recent visit failed to live up to my expectations.

Taking into account both my past positive experience and the recent decline in quality, I would rate Canon Pav Bhaji, CSMT Mumbai, with a 2.5 out of 5. I sincerely hope that the management takes note of this feedback and endeavors to restore the food's previous standard, ensuring that patrons can once again relish the authentic flavors they were...
