Zenbu — Restaurant in Jakarta

Zenbu - House Of Mozaru. So mozarela cheese is the main attraction here. But they also provides anything else without cheese.

It is bright with Japanese murral on the wall, mirror and wooden atmosphere.

Food offered: karaage, chawanmushi, salmon kabuto, fish skin, salmon belly soup, Japanese salads, teppanyaki, ramen, modan yaki (Japanese noodle with various toppings: mushroom, chicken, beef, salmon and seafood), various don buri (Japanese style various meat + omelette on rice), various omu rice (don buri + Japanese curry), various Yaki Meshi (Japanese fried rice), various sushi sashimi, various dragon roll, various hibachi sushi and various zenbu roll.

Drinks: ocha, juices, shakes and soft drinks. Some ice cream and dessert: brulle.

I tried the mozaru chicken pasta: small portion, pretty decent taste, very cheesy and creamy.

Omu rice chicken katsu is pretty OK. the curry is not as thick as regular Japanese curry. IMHO it is too light.

Modan yaki chicken is Japanese style fried noodle covered with omelette, taste sweet. It is just ok.

The service is slow when crowded. My hot ocha finally came up after I finished half of my modan yaki and complained about it.

Ocha is FOC, that is something we rarely see in Japanese restaurant these days. Very considerate and that's a plus.

The price is pretty much decent for a restaurant in leading mall like Plaza Indonesia. Affordable, the regular portion is light, the taste is okay.

They do not provide plastic straw unless you ask for it. Very good! Come on Man, who needs plastic straw now? Save our earth from unnecessary...

Located in Plaza Indonesia, Zenbu offers a Japanese fusion cuisines. Mozaru is the main dish served there, it's a pasta/rice (you decide) with your own choice of sauce and a melted mozarella cheese on top of it. If you're really hungry, go for the large size because believe me, regular size won't be enough. I've tasted the Mushroom Pasta with Tomato Sauce Mozaru, and it's really great. Plus, if you ordered food you'll be getting free ocha. It's good for you who constrained by the budget but wants to have a good meal. Other than Mozaru, I also have tasted the Chicken Modanyaki. It's like a noodle with pepper sauce covered with an egg omelet--it also tastes really great. I haven't tasted the drinks yet because you know--free ocha (basically I'm just too stingy).

I went here two times with my sibling. The first time I visited for the promo, but the staff said the promo was on hold, so I was forced to buy normal priced food menus. After reporting through the resto's instagram, they responded nicely and offered to compensate for the inconvenience. Thank you for taking responsibility 👍

For the foods since their specialty is Mozaru it's of course the tastiest menu in their range of food choices. The wagyu set isn't as tasty as I expected. The private room is cold but cozy.
