This hotel is nice, but it gave me mixed feelings.

Likes: Nice room interior (booked 2 grand deluxe and 1 deluxe), including the large bathroom in the grand deluxe ones.

There were plenty of meal options to choose from.

Good location, considering it isn’t far from the main street.

Beds were pretty comfortable.

They served fresh-cut fruits for breakfast.

Staff were nice and helpful.

Nice view near the restaurant.

Dislikes: The first towel I got in my room had very visible stains on them (fortunately CS replaced it with a better one when the room got cleaned).

I ordered the waffle menu for breakfast, and I was disappointed that the waffles were cold and stale. The fried egg and potatoes that came with it were cold as well.

The toilet paper dispenser’s placed way too close to the rubbish bin.

Room 408 was dark and didn’t have a pleasant scent, but the unpleasant scent started to disappear after hours of using the AC. It was one of the grand deluxe rooms, but it’s very different compared to the other one (405). This room had a smaller bathroom and poor lighting. Compared to the other one, this one had less available spots for charging. WiFi connection was also terrible. Overall, it looked outdated.

The pool lounge chairs were covered in dirt, leaves, and huge ants and insects. Perhaps it could get cleaned every now and then, so guests could feel more comfortable, too.

Requested that all three rooms that were booked to be close to one another, and it was already clearly written. But then they told us they weren’t able to fulfill our request because they’re fully booked- right when we’ve arrived.

Just ‘OK’:

Pool was cold, but I didn’t really mind.

The first pool’s located right next to the hotel’s restaurant. I felt a bit uncomfortable with it, but it’s not much of a big deal.

Nice location, but in order to get to the main street by foot, you’ll have to walk down quite a steep hill. I was okay with it, but I don’t think it would be ideal for some people, especially the elderly (if you’re thinking of walking instead of using a car or motorcycle). This one’s just ‘fyi’.

The second pool was unexpectedly a long walk down the stairs, since I thought it was nearby or at least not far from the first pool. There was no staff there, so you’re basically on your own. The pool wasn’t as clean, though, as there were fallen leaves everywhere. But to me, that’s understandable because it’s surrounded by big trees.

WiFi was alright, but the connection wasn’t strong. I had to keep switching from WiFi to mobile data every now and then.

Tried to call room service, but...

We are staying here for 4 days to celebrate my wife’s birthday but it’s a big disappointment to stay here

The room are extremely small that’s still okay but they have so many lizards in and around the room that you can’t even sleep peacefully and when you ask the staff remove them they tell you these are kindly animals they won’t harm you. But what if someone is super scared of them what do they do nothing

Breakfast is a very very big disappointment. We tried their breakfast box on day 1 as we have a tour planned early morning but everything they gave was pathetic. They gave us a chicken sandwich which stinking inside we didn’t know it was chicken or beef so just gave it to some poor guy to eat apart from that there were fruits which weren’t fresh at all. So total waste !! Apart from that when u have breakfast at their restaurant also which is included in the room charge is a total total total waste no options to eat at all it’s like just for the name sake they have kept it. 1 counter of egg and waffles and rest breads and fruits that’s all

The staff is very slow and not helpful at all. We asked them for a bike hire reference but they didn’t give. We informed that there was no water in the room they told us that they will send some engineer to help us but no1 came and when we called them again they said you will have to wait for 10-15mins as we are trying to arrange for a engineer from somewhere close. No help at all from the staff!!

Cleanliness!!! They don’t clean the room at all they just makeup the room if you left a tissue on the side table that will remain as it is won’t even throw it away

Please guys before booking this place kindly consider other options 🙏

In addition to your response I would like to bring light to you more issues that we faced

The welcome drink that was offered but your staff was just served in a used glass which had someone’s lipstick on it and not only 1 glass but both the glasses.

The bedsheets that your staff use to put it on after cleaning the room used to full dirty with all stains and use to smell good we carried our own blankets.

The towels were never ever changed in those 4 days of stay. And also they took the hand towel to wash but never kept it back in the room

Front office manager did come to talk to me when I was running late and I had mentioned I will come back at 9-9.30 but when I came she was already gone and no one wanted to talk about the issue so I...

From burnout to brand new! I was burntout and exhausted from work, so on a last min whim I booked a 7 day Balinese Healing package at Adiwana Svarga. To be honest I didnt know what to expect but I was attracted to the fact that there was a bunch of different treatments, that it was set in Ubud and that there were a few activities that I had always wanted to do a little more like yoga, but that I’d never really given myself the time to practice. On day 1 I realised that booking this trip, this location and this package was one of the best decisions Ive ever made in life. And as the week wore on, I only got more sure of my decision! Adiwana is quite literally set in the Balinese jungle of Ubud, the resort is perched along the cliff faces leading to the river that runs through the centre of Bali. The grounds have such a magical feel and the sacred figs which are 100s of years old add to the whole healing vibe of the resort. The spa centre located on the river bank is private and open air, which means you get to enjoy all the live sounds of nature while you are getting any one of their amazing manage treatments. The 90 min treatment as the sun was setting treated me to all the sounds of the jungle and was quite literally as if I had been transported to a far away place. The villas are traditional Balinese style with open air shower and baths but my favorite room feature believe it or not was the automatic bidet! Everything here is lux and designed with the traveller in mind to feel like royalty… And that includes the service. To say that I was treated like a Queen is an understatement. Its well known that the Balinese are known for their generosity and commitment to ensuring everyone is looked after, but the the staff at Adiwana take this to the next level! From the wait staff in the restaurant (which by the way serves the BEST food!) through to the front desk and gardening staff the service was outstanding. In particular Puspa and Arista who looked after me for the week truly made me not just feel like royalty but welcomed me into their culture like family. I arrived stressed and burnt out and I left peaceful, healed and have even been able to continue my yoga practice at home (thank you Suci for starting me off with the basics!). This trip has made me a better person and taught me so much. I cannot wait to visit Adiwana Svarga Loka again! Thank you to everyone who made...

We stayed for 5 nights. We are impressed by the hotel. The staff and service were kind and responsive. The breakfast was tasty. The list included around a dozen options. The portion was not large but the taste was great. You won't need to eat big meals in such a hot and humid environment. The afternoon tea was tasty too. We didnt do any of the Yoga or spa sessions. We didnt participate in the events either. Yoga and spa treatments are additional costs, FYI. The hotel grounds were green and quiet. I started to suspect we were the only guests at the hotel. You won't hear any road traffic. You will hear the river far below the hotel. Some have stated that the place shows age, but please understand that you're in a hot, humid and wet environment. Wood stairs, for example, do not last long in such conditions. This hotel has managed nicely to blend in with nature. The figures, the walls, the paths, all are incorporated harmoniously with the flora. Please be aware, that due to the location, this place is not friendly to those with mobility issues. There are stairs to climb everywhere. Rooms: clean, quiet, and spacious. The bathroom we had was sufficient and the shower overlooked some greenery. We had a lizard visitor one evening; we called room service and they promptly came to help guide our friend out. Nothing more happened. Remember, you're in nature, so expect some wildlife on the paths, or patios, or, rarely, in your quarters. The bed was large, comfortable and clean. The mosquito nets were intact and we never had any issues with insects. The location: it's about a 15-18minute walk from Ubud palace/market. Downhill to the city and uphill returning (logically). Your far enough from the main streets that you wont hear any noise. You're close enough to walk. Should you be lazy or have mobility problems, your a 5 minute scooter ride to the town center. If we ever come back to Bali, we will be sure to stay here again. We hate to leave but life continues and we must return. Terima kasih dan sampai jumpa lagi!

Adiwana Svarga Loka really is something special. I was looking for a quiet Ubud retreat that was not only located amongst the beauty of nature, but also encapsulated the unique and charming culture of Bali - and Adiwana Svarga Loka certainly delivered on all accounts! The whole ambiance of the property is enchanting, and the honouring and nods to the authentic Balinese traditions are everywhere - from the welcoming ceremony when you arrive at the resort, to the magical session with the talented local Balinese healer, Pak Komang and array of cultural activities on offer. I took part in the Balinese cooking class with Chef Windy which was excellent. Under her patient instruction we made a selection of delicious Balinese dishes in amongst the most gorgeous setting - lots of fun! The staff really make the Adiwana stand out, from the helpful assistance of Puspa & Purnama Putra on reception, to the lovely chats with Pak Bagus and excellent service from Kerta, Yuli, Tari & Dodi in the Kemangi Restaurant - guest satisfaction really is a priority. Make sure you book a treatment at the spa. The rooms are situated just above the river and listening to the gentle water flow as you enjoy a massage is something truly unforgettable. My therapist Dayu was excellent! And my Bali Healing Ritual treatment was faultless with its relaxing massage, scrub and warm bath, which were total bliss. This is a stunning place to really escape from the outside world and experience the heart & soul of Bali. I will certainly be returning again to this hidden sanctuary!
