The location is literally within the Ubud market and Ubud palace is 3-4 minutes walking from here. We chose it for the location and it was a right decision in that sense. The rooms were not big, but as you can see they were clean and tidy and looked good. The had free breakfast, it was basic like pancakes, but good. But, I am giving it less stars because of the noise! Like I said, it is situated in the centre of the town, so it was too noisy for me. There were open panel designs above the window (used as wind passage during summer, I think), so the soundproofing was absent. And I could not sleep at all at night, because sound from the roads and bikes were constant from the road. Also during first night, some people were having an argument or fight of some sort downstairs over something and it went on late. So, noisewise and sleep-wise, it was a really bad experience for me. Hence, if you do not have a issue with noise, and looking for a reasonably priced, clean place at a great location in Ubud, go for Happy in. But if you have trouble sleeping with noise, then not recommended for you, because no matter which earplugs you use, the noise...
Read moreThe place is absolutely terrible and should be removed from Booking till they fix all the building and higiene problems they have. Not even paying 18 dollars per night would justify the terrible state of cleanliness and lack of comfort this place has to offer. The first room we were assigned to was full of molds, the bathroom ceiling even looked like it was going to fall off soon. I requested to be moved to another room which was actually not much better- the molds were mainly in the bathroom. It felt disgusting to take a shower, the towels were were provided stank and the water was only cold. The bed linen was dirty, with hair and stains. The location is good because it gives you the chance to walk around the heart of the town, however it’s by the street and TOO loud to sleep. The isolation is terrible as the window has no glass and it’s covered by a plastic curtain. It’s a pitty that the rooms are in such conditions because it has a good location and it is in a traditional housing land. We wouldn’t recommend to stay...
