In one sentence, not worth the money paid.

Photos attached of all our food and drinks.

Firstly, the decor of the place and the atmosphere is just great. The seating was comfortable and the service offered was exemplary.

We started with vegetable samosa. This was a great start. The samosas came with a green chutney and chilli sauce that added to the flavour. We also got prawn crackers which was a nice touch and tasty.

We also had fresh pineapple, strawberry and mango juices. The first two were good enough that I would go back for them. The mango though, it tasted pretty basic. Maybe because it's not mango season. I don't know. But not worth it.

Unfortunately, that's where the good stuff ends.

We ordered lamb curry and tandoori chicken breast with rice and garlic naan.

Jeera Rice - too buttery. I am not sure why this was so buttery, but the butter taste was overpowering. My wife was unable to eat it as she started feeling sick but I tried my best to eat it even with the butter.

Tandoori chicken - I have to admit, this was most disappointing. It was like the chicken was boiled and then placed in the tandoori. The taste was just on the outside of the chicken and inside it tasted plain. It was serviced with chutney which didn't really help. Also coming from the UK I can tell you tandoori masala is red paste and charcoaled, not white and boiled. My wife gave it a zero.

Lamb curry - maybe this is my own issue, but the lamb pieces were too hard for me. Very chewy. But admittedly, quite tasty. However, the curry itself was filled with onion. As Indians, I know that we use onions for the base. But this was too much.

Garlic naan - crunchy and tasty. It went well with the lamb curry.

All in all, the experience wasn't great. Last but not least, those from the UK. You will pay UK prices and honestly, you're better off eating this type of food in the UK. Try one of the other...

Actually a really good Indian restaurant but unfortunately I can only give 2-3 stars.

When ordering, you are asked if you want the food spicy or not spicy at all. I have ordered it absolutely not at all spicy.

Also, you are asked if you want all the dishes brought together or one by one. We wanted to get everything together to share.

Unfortunately, one dish was brought first and it took another 15 minutes for the rest to be brought, so the first dish was already cold when the rest was brought.

Also, all of the dishes were unfortunately very spicy, which is night what we ordered. Unfortunately also much too spicy to be able to enjoy the food, let alone finish it.

We then ordered an additional lassi to soften the spiciness a bit but unfortunately that didn't help much either.

Ultimately, we ate a lot of plain rice without curry or broccoli, because it was just too spicy.

The location and the restaurant itself are very nice. Great decor and you feel like you are sitting in a temple. Maybe also because there are incense sticks burning everywhere. I like the smell but for some it may be a bit too penetrating, especially when you go out to eat.

Also, the restaurant is very expensive compared to others. Usually we pay around 200 K for 2 persons, here it was more than 400 K. So it is really very expensive.

Although it is actually a jetz s restaurant and the food certainly tastes good, it was unfortunately a disappointment. Especially since extra was asked for the desired spiciness and delivery together or separately and both of our orders were then...

Foreigners Tourists Avoid this dodgy restaurant!! They will rip you off. Disappointing Bali experience!

We came here on Sat 6 Sept 2025 3 pm because of ‘high reviews’ (definitely fake reviews? why are they are so high🤔). Food was OK (standard butter chicken (medium spicy), samosas, naan, small portions) and so many staff awkwardly standing there watching you. Sterile atmosphere but it looked clean and service from younger staff was good.

Complaint about older Asian lady in black uniform named Vika? (who had a light blue handbag at the cashier!). Dishonest cashier stole/ripped us off. Our bill was $361,000 RPH. She never served us but came running to our table, when she saw me counting cash. She took over $400,400 cash RPH (asked for more😳) and didn’t give us correct change or receipt. Our invoice states “not paid and Padma cashier”. We complained and she was embarrassed THREW money on our table and ran off. Staff did not look surprised. Is this a scam?? All customers including Foreigners/tourists should be treated with honesty and respect. I wish we went to the busy western restaurant across the road instead! There is a reason why this Bollywood restaurant was empty! Felt sick after eating this food.

Owners/Management - READ this review. It’s terrible because we were going to leave a tip for your other staff Maya etc. It's insulting to ask tourists to give a good review after ripping us off!!! 😳 I notice as soon as I posted this, random fake reviews giving 5 stars...

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with this restaurant because it seemed to be a good halal option. Once we got there it was very stuffy and a bit chaotic, nonetheless we were still interested and curious about the food. My husband and I eat Indian food very often back home I even cook homemade Indian dishes and I can say with confidence that the food was bellow average, the cheese nan was doey, the vegetable samosas were OK but the samosa chaat wasn't so good, I even dare say a bit gross, more so because visually it wasn't very appetising. The most disappointing of all was the mutton massala, the meat was so chewy, we couldn't even take a bite out of it, in curries and massalas the meat is supposed to be so tender that it melts in your mouth, but sadly we left the majority of the meat chunks on the plate. With that said the meal was way overpriced for it's worth. We were actually exited for that one and it was our last restaurant in Bali so it left kind of a bitter taste right before our departure, knowing that not once we were displeased with any restaurant or street food we tried in Bali during our whole stay. I hope you take this comment as a constructive one, so that you can improve the quality of your food in the future. Wish you the best of luck.
