We arrived a lil bit after check in time, and waited 25mins at the reception desk before someone came to finally help us. One of our rooms was not ready and still dirty. They said they’re going clean it right away and 15min later it was „done.“ It’s hard to believe that 1 guy could disinfect at least the bathroom, change the bedsheets, the ‚blanket‘ which seemed like a couch blanket, vacuum etc. The rooms themselves were outdated, spiderwebs everywhere, lamps/furniture broken, wall outlets were falling off, flooring was cracked, our toilet was leaking and creating a puddle , not to mention the bad old smell in not only the room but the whole hotel. The terrace behind the rooms had old feces everywhere and was overall dirty, even old smoked cigarettes were in the ashtray and on the ground. Walking past the dining hall/spa, pool area, the hallway is not ventilating at all creating moisture and humid air which you could see on the windows. Moving on the first morning, as we sat down on the table some of the silverware was dirty and rusty. We proceeded to get some food, only to realize that the for example eggs and bacon were FRIDGE cold, not cooling off cold, it was literally cold, even tho they were on a ‚heater‘. There were options to get some ‚fresh‘ eggs and bacon which for a 5 star hotel you wouldn’t think of needing to pay for overpriced. After experiencing all of that we ended up both having breakfast at all, since the coffee was from a outdated Machine as well which was not drinkable. It seemed very understaffed, there was no bartender on New Year’s Eve. We had to ask the front staff personnel for help and he ended up giving us our drinks. The staff was somewhat nice, whenever we confronted them about the issues they were somewhat nice about it but they also kept saying that this was the style of the hotel. I don’t how being unsanitary is a style. I would NOT recommend this hotel at all, the only thing that was good about it is the location, that’s it. The free parking on the other side of the hotel is just a public parking...
Read moreThis hotel saw 5 stars 20-30 years ago.||The object is served by 2 sisters who have no idea about the 5 * handling culture.||On arrival (daughters room) the sliding wardrobe door hardly crushed my 6 year old daughter as she opened it (I grabbed it).||The air conditioning did not work in our room - the lady at the reception (as it later turned out the manager - one of the sisters) informs me that the air conditioning works every 2 hours - I ask if it's a joke since it's 35 degrees outside.||Pictures of air conditioning controllers attached.||After the intervention, we get another room with a broken glass.||After another intervention at the reception, the Lady informs me that I have to pay for one night (the reservation was for 6 nights) and that we should look for another hotel and she does not want any comments about HER hotel.||I am asking if I will propose another room? Not ! WTF ???||So I am enclosing photos of the room and a decaying hotel that can receive a maximum of 3 *.||In addition, the room description is not adequate to the description on the booking - the bathrooms are tiles from the 60's, not marble.||The tiles falling off the pool were the attraction of the children collecting them (so they smeared the pool with black goo so they wouldn't fall off any further). One of the photos with the door is the entrance to the SPA (Xperience). I attach photos of the terrace and garden.||NO COMMENT.||And we also visited and used the SPA - a device from the 70's.||||And also taking seats by the pool - during the stay there were reportedly 120 people in the hotel with a maximum of 30 sunbeds at the pool.||So we get up at 6:30 to be occupied and there the gentleman from the reception runs and takes them with guests' towels with cards with room numbers - I ask one of the sisters what's going on because at 6:30 there are no places at the pool - the manager (one of the sisters) answers me that if I want to have a place by the pool, I should CLEVER (EUR? USD?).||WELL THIS IS A...
Read moreIt is laughable that this hotel calls itself 5 star. Don't be fooled, it is not. Lets start at our arrival. Get into room at 10pm. As we had missed dinner a supposed cold platter was placed in our room. It consisted of a few bits of ham, cheese and 1 very small slice of bread. The safety deposit box did not work, I couldn't get the shower to work. There was someone else's empty shampoo bottle in the shower. I went to plug the kettle in a very dodgy multi-plug, which made the lamp on the sideboard flicker. Couldn't get the TV to work. very uneven and flooring on entrance to the room. The wardrobe doors were so heavy that my wife could hardly open them. On opening the chest of drawers there was an overpowering smell of mustiness as if they hadn't been opened for years, The room smelt of damp generally.|Breakfast: if you are going to provide a hot option i.e, fried/ scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages why is it stone cold! Not cooling down or warm or even tepid but stone cold. One morning they cooked a fried egg and bacon for my wife by request, The chef achieved the remarkable feat of burning the bottom of the egg whilst the yolk was still cold. There was a very limited selection of fruit. |The bar staff were very good however he could quite easily be rushed off his feet doubling as a waiter in the restaurant.|Dinner was very good and the staff were always charming and helpful.|I give 2 stars not 1 because of dinner and the staff but the rooms although I must admit were spacious, are not up to even a 3 star standard. Very...
