This property turned out to be excellent for us, we went to Rome to celebrate our parents Golden anniversary and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! We saw that it had good reviews and decided to book the place. The hostess Annalisa is so sweet, she makes you feel at home as soon as you enter the building. She rents 3 rooms on the fourth floor, all with private bathroom, there is a lift which is in very good condition so we had no problem to take up our luggage, everything was very smooth. Annalisa is always available for advise on how to travel around Rome and she guided us how to arrive to the attractions that we wanted to visit. The apartment is very clean and cleverly designed, one of the rooms even has a balcony and all rooms have a view of the Vatican, breakfast is plentiful and exquisite, there were always fresh pastries during breakfast since her family owns a ' Pasticceria ' just down the road, which we used to visit regularly and even bought some pastries to take back home! They are a very kind family. ||The bus station is just up the road and we only needed to get the no 64 bus which goes down to Piazza Venezia, from there we could walk to Spanish steps, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza Navona, The Colosseum, Monument of Vittorio Emanuele, the Pantheon and the Quirinale. All are close and within walking distance. The train station Roma San Pietro is very close to the bus station so it is also easy to travel to other destinations.||||The Vatican is just about 10 mins walk from Casa di Nannali , the neighbourhood is quiet, it is quite safe in the evening as there are restaurants close by so people are outside till late. Annalisa even suggested where we could go to eat, in the evening we used to dine at one of the restaurants close by and we were never disappointed, all had good service and delicious Italian food. One evening we went to eat in Trastevere and opted for a Taxi which costed us about 10 euro each way, all with the help of Annalisa who offered to book the taxi for us.||Overall everything was excellent and staying with Annalisa was the best decision we could have made. We definitely recommend her place and would go back if we decide to...
Read moreFive stars is not enough is our ten year old’s evaluation of Casa di Nannali and we (the entire family) could not agree more. The B&B is in a residential neighborhood complete with small shops and very good restaurants. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. We felt very much at home and were able to walk to everything we needed. St. Peter’s and The Vatican are just a short walk away (the pictures on the website are not exaggerated). The place is convenient to the train (which intersects with the Metro) and the #64 bus that travels to or near all the major sites. More? You get Annalisa’s hospitality. First, she ordered pizza for us when we were late the first day. After about 22 hours of travel and nearly losing a bag, that was huge! Next, she always had helpful advice on how to get to where we wanted to go and even helped us make arrangements for a day trip (email me if you want advice on how to visit Pompeii). Did I mention breakfast? Breakfast was outstanding including fresh-brewed coffee and amazing pastries from her family’s neighborhood bakery; there was also bread, cheese, meats, eggs, yogurt, and cereal, etc. Did I mention pastries from her family’s neighborhood bakery? They were so good! Should we be fortunate enough to return to Roma THIS is the B&B where we would stay. ...
Read moreStayed here 6 nights. The location is great because Roma San Pietro train station is literally three minutes round the corner and it also the terminus for the number 64 bus. And of course that is handy because the train ticket can be used on the bus too, during its validity. ||The room with the balcony is great, affording a lovely view of the dome of St Peter’s Basilica. Makes a lovely picture by night. The apartment is on the fourth floor and you can go up in a slightly small lift, or of course, take the stairs, especially if you are not carrying bags/luggage ||Our room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. The shower was very good. There is pop art on the wall in the bedroom as well as in the corridor where you are served a hearty continental breakfast. Croissants and delicious, freshly made pastries from the landlady’s father’s patisserie were provided every day. ||The landlady Annalisa is very helpful and accommodating. We had prior email correspondence and she arranged airport pick up and taxis as required as well as advice on where to go, how to get there and where to eat etc. ||A superb B&B that deserves all...
