Cresci a rare gem near Vatican . We arrived in Vatican train station , a short walk to the museum . On the way there we passed by Cresci and all we planned on having was a coffee. Once inside we got “hypnotized” with the aroma of freshly baked treats and bread . Oh Oaw we kept saying . Everything looked sooo delicious we had to try something and little did we know that we will get so hooked from 1st bite . Without hesitation we bought some stuff to takeout ( to enjoy later in fresh air after 4 hours of Vatican Museum . Everything was simply delicious, I just couldn’t decide which one was my favorite. On the 2nd visit we ended up there again after hours and hours of art exploring completely starving . Unfortunately we arrived late and all pastries and food were done but stil had some pizza left , so being hungry we got pizza . All that I can say is that that was one of the best pizzas I ever had in my life and I can tell you that I traveled the world . At first it looks weird and they cut it with scissors, I was like Oaw and thought it was just some fast food average pizza . Boy was I wrong as that was top 3 the best pizza I ever tried , it was so delicious we bought another plate . One things for sure you don’t have to go to a fancy pizzeria to have good pizza, sometimes beat most delicious meals will be in places you least expect. If you will be close by the train station in Vatican make sure you try Cresci , their food is simply delicious. 🤤 Oawwww , one of best experiences I had in Rome ( top 2 😍) . Must try these heavenly...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant while on vacation in Italy, drawn in by the high reviews and beautiful photos. The atmosphere was definitely pleasant and we were seated quickly, so I had hopes it would be a great experience.
Unfortunately, it went downhill fast. Service was inattentive from the start. We were met with flat replies and horrible body language by the waitress. Additionally, we noticed that throughout our meal, other tables were checked on regularly while we were met with for a bare minimum amount of time. We didn’t expect top-tier service, but it was frustrating to feel ignored while others got consistent attention.
Still, I hoped the food would make up for it. We ordered the zucchini flower, maccheroni, maccheroncini all'amatriciana, and bombolotti alla carbonara. They looked fine when they arrived, but every dish was SHOCKINGLY way too salty and undercooked, hard, crunchy pasta with barely any redeeming flavor. The zucchini flower was mushy and overly salty, likely due to the anchovies, but the pastas were honestly some of the worst I’ve ever had. Each bite was harder to get through than the last.
I’m not sure if we were served differently because we were tourists, but this experience did not live up to the hype. If you decide to try it, just be cautious, what you see in the reviews and pictures may not reflect your...
Read moreThis was not even 1 star. Owner had his new hostess pour 2 oz of wine and considered it a glass of wine. I don't think it filled even bottom of wine glass. I told the hostess that 4 to 5 oz of wine was considered a glass anywhere. She was new and stated that there it was less. I was upset because they charged per glass and it was $5.00 for inexpensive Pinot grigio for 2 oz. He knew I was upset and I watched him fill a glass of wine for other guests the appropriate amount. I asked why this did not happen to me. He said it was nothing against me but this is what they do in Rome. I said I have been all over Europe and in Rome for 10 days and this has never happened. I purposely left a full glass of wine, after I bought the wAy over priced bottle to prove a point. He was not ethical. I have been all over Europe 2 times and this has never happened to me EVER. He is trying to make extra anyway he can. I will continue to repost...
