I had a bad experience with a guest and with the reception staff. I was watching TV and talking on the phone in my room around 8:30 p.m., a reasonable time. There was no one sleeping in the room, and it wasn’t quiet hours yet. One guest acted rudely, turned off the TV while I was watching, and started shouting in her language. When I said I would complain about her behavior at the reception, she immediately went to the reception to make it seem like she was in the right. The worst part was how the reception staff handled the situation. I was obviously upset, and the receptionists told me to calm down and to ‘stop arguing,’ barely making eye contact with me. I said that if the guest couldn’t handle sharing a room with others, she should book a private room. The receptionist replied, ‘You can’t tell her what type of room she should book,’ meaning they clearly weren’t prepared to handle this situation, making me feel bad and treating me like I was the ‘troublemaker,’ when all I was doing was peacefully being in my room, and this rude person turned off the TV and started shouting. In the end, they were going to move me to another room, not her. When I stood my ground on this, they moved her instead. The hotel itself is nice with a good structure, but the staff is unprepared and doesn’t know how to properly handle a guest in such a situation. The receptionists in question, I will keep their names private, but if the management wishes to know who they were, it was the gentleman and the lady who were on the night shift on October 7th.
Editing after your response: Oh my God! This is unbelievable — you truly have no idea how to deal with guests! This reply is astonishing. The issue here is not about determining who was right or wrong. It’s about how the front desk made me feel, the completely unprofessional way the situation was handled.
This wasn’t some high school argument — we’re talking about customers, about knowing how to treat them, about offering support. It’s about not making the guest feel even worse after an unpleasant experience. But your response only confirms the serious lack of professionalism on your part.
All you had to say was: “We apologize for the inconvenience.” Not: “Oh, we can’t tell who’s right or wrong.” It’s...
Read moreMy recent stay at Budget Rooms Des Artistes in Rome was absolutely delightful and exceeded my expectations for a budget-friendly option. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. The location was fantastic! It provided easy access to many of Rome's incredible sights, either by a pleasant walk or a quick hop on a public transport. Being able to immerse myself in the city's beauty without spending a fortune on getting around was a huge plus. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a restful night after a day exploring the Eternal City. While not luxurious, it was perfectly functional and provided a cozy haven. What truly stood out was the wonderful hospitality. The staff were incredible friendly, helpful, and always ready with a smile or a useful tip for navigating the city. Their warmth added a personal touch that made my stay even more enjoyable. For travellers looking to experience the magic of Rome without breaking the bank, I wholeheartedly recommend Budget Rooms Des Artistes. It offers a fantastic combination of affordability, a convenient location, and genuinely lovely service. I would happily stay here again on my next...
Read moreA nice hotel to stay in Rome) A very pleasant impression is made from the first minute of staying in the hotel because of friendly staff, a stylish lobby area, clean and lovely hall with lockers, a warm and bright room. You have all you need in this room except the towel and the soap. There is enough space in the room for four people. You see here four beds, wardrobe, night tables, bigger table, chairs, sink, a towel rack. A comfy bed with an orthopedic mattress, blinds on the windows, good sound insulation give a comfortable sleep throughout the night. The lockers are located outside the room and you can leave your backpack, wallet, etc. there. There are several bathrooms on the floor but they could be occupied during "rush hour" (after 8 p.m.). The hotel offers its guests extra breakfasts and ordering a taxi. Also worth mentioning the convenient hotel's location - close to the railway station and a subway station. Amazing Italian restaurants are in a 5-minutes walk from the hotel. I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel offers a high level of service for a good price. My...
