Our travel agent booked us and our friends in this hotel and I was a little nervous after looking it up on Google Maps and was a little concerned with the location. Hotel entrance is located in the side of the building with a large rug outside the entrance, identifying the entryway . It was very unassuming, which was a little concerning to me as we have stayed in some really nice name brand properties in Rome. We walked into the hotel and it was very clean and well kept. Just around the corner was the hotel bar...I will come back to that shortly. We checked in and went to our rooms and were pleasantly surprised. Keep in mind, this is a boutique hotel and the rooms are a little smaller and were super clean / quaint. Our room had a smallish sitting room with a sofa, table and TV (which we did not turn on), but the room was great to relax, open the window and listen to the music which was being performed / played close by. The rest of the room was perfect and the bathroom was modern with a great shower. The location was perfect and all my concerns were put at ease. We could walk to most places and felt very safe. Now back to the bar. We walked in to meet our friends and were introduced to Dimitri, at first the bar tender and after our visit, we considered him a friend. I cannot say enough about this individual. He pointed us to a new handmade Italian Gin vs. my always go to gin. We tried different drinks which were made to perfection. We discussed restaurants and he gave us some great ones close by which were fantastic and the price to match, great eats, good wine at great prices. Everyone that was staying at this hotel would always stop in for a drink either before heading out for dinner or stop in for a nightcap. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler and stop in and say to Dimitri,...

Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who was nice however informed us that we had been accidentally charged prior for one night maybe that’s why we got an upgrade which was nice. The location here is stupendous. It’s centrally located - we didn’t even realize how close it is to allot of famous sites that are “must see”. We had a great junior suite with a nice view of a garden and a balcony. The breakfast could be better, as I say; you can always tell how good a place is by the orange juice they serve (let’s say it wasn’t fresh squeezed). After a couple days, the breakfast is so/so at best. I will agree with previous reviews that the bartender Micheal !! definitely made our experience better!!!- very personable, interesting and intelligent. Would come back just to have a drink with him. The hotel is nice. The heating/ ventilation could use some work but the bed was very comfortable. The rooms are classic chic. Would have considered 3 or 4 stars but after meeting Michal there was no other option but to enter five ⭐️. Hope y’all enjoy (and he’s still working here when you visit)- ** thought the heating was a temporary problem but it didn’t work during our entire stay so when we asked if we can warm the room we were offered blankets (in the middle of the afternoon 🤦🏼‍♂️) and no explanation other that it does not work. To solve my problem they turn off the air circulation in the room which makes the air stagnant and harder to breathe. Also left card in my room to charge some electronics, came back, no card and nothing changed 🤦🏼‍♂️. When you come and go no one says anything to you it’s like an apartment building...

The hotel is beautiful and our room was extremely comfortable. In addition, the staff were amazing - friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. In fact, the owner's daughter recommended a beautiful beach for us to visit.

In particular, I would like to put the spotlight on Alex. In all my years of traveling around the world, I have never before experienced the level of service he provided during our stay. From arrival to departure, he repeatedly went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of our needs.

Two specific examples I would like to share:

  1. We experienced a complication with our pre-arranged transportation. He made multiple calls to the company, on our behalf, to resolve the problem.

  2. He also arranged transportation for us to a beach at Santa Severa. While we were on the beach, I received a call from the transportation company questioning the previously agreed cost of our transportation. I called Alex and, once again, he called the company, as well as our driver, to resolve the misunderstanding. In his words, "It will be taken care of. You just enjoy your time at the beach." Sure enough, it was resolved!

Alex demonstrated a true dedication to ensuring guests, like my wife and myself, enjoy a hassle-free experience. Again, never before have I experienced such amazing service from anyone.

We had a...

This hotel was rated top 10% in the world - but that was not our experience. The good: we arrived early and the staff was able to get our room ready for us rather quickly. Our room was large and had a nice view. Everything was very clean. The hotel is about 10-15 walk from the Trevi Fountain but far enough away so that it's not noisy. It's in a private ish area. Definitely a good location. The bad: the breakfast was AWFUL. We stayed in 4 hotels during our trip. Some breakfasts better than others but this was by far the worst and practically inedible. There was one staff member who we found to be rude. (Everyone else was great). We had a guest visit us for a day and we were given a hard time about that. The bathroom was poorly placed right next to the head of the bed - nothing left to the imagination...and it felt like the toilet was going to fall off the wall. Based on the repairs that had already been done - that probably happened at least once. The shower was very slippery and the drain was moldy and if you step on it, it's slightly dangerous. We were not allowed to have an iron in our room which I found to be odd. The rooftop was not yet open even though it was advertised to open in May. All in all, I would not stay here again.

I am unable to put into words how amazing this hotel is. It begins with the amazing staff. The front desk personnel were there to help at every twist in our trip. We had some lost luggage and they were instrumental in helping resolve the issue by speaking Italian and getting our case escalated. It has already been lost for 4 days, we would never have seen that bag again if it hadn't been for the front desk staff. The rooftop bar is stunning and the service again impeccable. The breakfast was a buffet with something for everyone including cereal for the little ones. This is a must stay for visiting Rome. The walk to Trevi Fountain and shopping is maybe fifteen minutes. There are so many great restaurants near and the pricing is much better than down by the fountain. Come for the rooftop views and location, stay for the top tier service.
