Just back from a stay at iRooms Campo Dei Fiori and we had a great time.
The location is brilliant and quite central to all the attractions, most within a 20 minute walk. Plenty of shops and restaurants on the doorstep as well (if visiting try Grano trattoria next door, it's fab!).
We stayed in the iMovie Jacuzzi room and the projector screen was brilliant to watch Netflix on and relax at night. The jacuzzi bath was great although difficult to get into and you have to run the water for a while as it starts discoloured. The water isn't super hot.
The room itself is great as is the additional of a mini fridge which was stocked with some water and fizzy juice. The room could be doing with a bin, bedside tables and a lamp (the big lights are quite strong in the morning). I'm not sure if it was the plumbing or boiler but something was quite noisy and didn't make for the most restful sleep.
The reception girl was lovely and very helpful. We had difficulty reaching out to them via email but once we got them on WhatsApp the communication was great. We also booked our transfers via them and it was the same price as a normal taxi so worth doing.
The room was clean but could be doing with a feather duster as there was some large cobwebs up high. The space next to the jacuzzi bath was also very wet when we arrived so the bathroom was getting a bit mouldy so that should be looked at.
There is a terrace for smoking but it was up the next flight of stairs from our room so not as handy for those on the 2nd floor.
Overall it was a great stay but there is some room for improvement. If we were in the area again we...
Read morePositives: The location was the only redeeming quality of this hotel. It's central to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Trajan's Column and a number of other locations throughout Rome.
Negatives:
iRooms claim that breakfast is included, but we received nothing. Dust was absolutely everywhere in our room. It was quite clear that they hadn't bothered to clean before our arrival. I'm not that bothered if there's a bit of dust, but this level was abysmal (see attached photos). iRooms boast that every room is equipped with an iPad, but this was not the case. The "cinema wall" in our room was powered by a projector that was so loud we had to turn it off straight away. I imagine it's loud because of how dusty the room is. There are no comfortable seats, instead two wooden chairs are provided. There is one free plug socket (two if you disconnect the coffee machine) in the room behind the bed, so you'll have to draw up a rota on who gets to charge their phone or laptop first. There are no bedside tables, instead the left side of the bed is right next to the complimentary minibar (two drinks). The toilet has a broken seat that moves as soon as you sit down on it. The jacuzzi bath for two quickly runs out of hot water, so you won't be able to shower comfortably afterwards. If you're looking for a refreshing shower in the morning don't bother. You'll get around a minute of warm water with low pressure before it gets cold again. The bathroom has a clear...
