I am a travel agent and took a group of 10 along with my family of 4. Although the rooms were very large, very affordable and location was fantastic I would not suggest staying here though. Upon entering the resort (which in no way at all is it a resort) - there is poor lighting, tiny sign, and graffiti spray painted all over the HOBBIT sized door.||||Reception was to be opened from 9-4 pm but it was impossible to locate and after 3 nights we still have no idea where it is. It appears as an apartment complex and the elevator is ready to fall apart at any second!||||All the doors in the main floor were always locked when we were there during the day. We saw no one but a cleaning lady once or twice. We did not want them in our rooms as there are no dates for valuables, and asked for towels and toilet paper, but they entered our rooms even tho we had “do not disturb in all doors”! No safe to lock valuables so we travelled with them during the day. We did not go out at night for fear of break ins and being robbed. The only way to communicate is via WhatsApp or email or call on our own cell as there are no phones in the rooms either.||||The first day (Tuesday) we spoke to the cleaning lady and told her our stove was not working she told us she would get maintenance in Friday but we were leaving a Friday. I emailed the hotel and they dismissed what I said and told me the lady told us to read manual and all was well. That is not what happened. We had one element that would work intermittently. The floors were so dirty when we arrived that our socks and feet were black and so we had to wear shoes the entire time. The air conditioning does not work so windows needed to be open at all times, but such a noisy area it was very challenging sleeping. And having the windows opened also let in Moths and bugs that bite! We all have bite marks in our bodies! We had 4 big rooms booked on floors 5, 4, 2 and 1||||In Room 500 There was no shower door in one of the showers so we had to put towels down so we would not soak the floors. The main bathroom door did not work and if you shut it you were locked in. People using it had to knock to get someone to let them out. No phones in any of rooms. No dish towels to wash dishes so had to use white face clothes from shower. Soap dispenser falling off wall. Shower head can not be adjusted so if you were over 5 ft you needed to duck very low to shower. Very very slippery shower stalls and my 6 ft 2 son slipped and hurt his arm! ||||Room 405 had damage on a ledge when we arrived and was falling apart. We sent pictures to “hotel” to ensure we don’t get charged as they most likely won’t believe us.||||Free wifi was great. Only 2 English channels on TV and reception not good on one of the channels.||||I had asked for them to send me all the bills for everyone as we are checking out before anyone is “supposed” to be at reception and they sent my bill twice and missed one room. When I emailed them again they argued with me and said they sent it already - I forwarded them what they sent and still nothing. They just responded again and stated they sent them all. Again I had to ask for the one room they did not send me. They prefer to argue then just send it!||||We would not recommend this “hotel” at all. Front door is spray painted and looks like a slum entrance. The free breakfast is served at Snack bar across busy intersection by a very rude abrupt Asian man who provides only toast or a danish, bruised apples, juice and one coffee. No protein at all. The Italian man and Asian young lady are very polite but did not serve us. Customer service overall “0”. Cleanliness “0”, safety of area “0”, appliances “2” (fridge and TVs worked).||||I will not recommend to anyone and will not book for anyone again. One of my clients rooms could not be deadlocked as metal Frame appeared to have been pryed open and deadbolt would not connect so she slept with furniture against door and had difficulty sleeping alone. We sent picture to our contact and told them but they did not respond!||||I will be reporting this to Expedia as they are my supplier and I will advise them to take off their site. Please do not stay here.||||Just to put things into perspective our group consisted of 3 ladies over 70, 3 ladies over 50, 2 men and 3 ladies over 40 and 3 kids (14, 14 & 17)||||Room 405 lights at front door did not work even when putting key in ||||There were small bugs in the rooms as well ||And everyone...
Read moreAfter we booked this room we emailed Davide to let him know we would be arriving around 5pm. When we arrived there was no sign of anyone and i had to go online to try and find a telephone number to call Davide for him to let us in! Luckily the apartment is inside a complex that has a dentist and other health place so we were able to get into the main building and sit on some stairs outside the guesthouse waiting... when i got hold of Davide he asked me if i was late.. to which i replied no. He said he was five minutes away and we would be here soon. Apparently the mix up comes as he doesn't read his emails.. his partner does and passes on information to him. ||||When we checked in Davide gave us a map and showed us the places to avoid and the good places to go, he gave us advice on where to eat. You have to pay on check in as Davide isn't guaranteed to be around if you need to check out early. Also check out is at 10.30am and there is no where here for you to leave your bags. Luckily for us Rome was our last stop and we didn't need to hang around in the city before our train out to the airport. ||||This is literally a place to sleep... breakfast isn't served here. You get tickets to go to a bar round the corner for breakfast which consisted of a croissant and a hot drink, when i asked if i could have orange juice i was told no. It was a red hot day and i didn't want a hot drink but this wasn't an option. There was a water tank on a platform above our bathroom and everytime we flushed the toilet all we could hear was the noise of the tank. The bathroom ceiling was full of mould and so was the ceiling inside the shower. Also the hotel is right outside a metro and tram line. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE... i didn't sleep a wink for 3 nights which was exhausting especially with all the walking around rome has to offer. Also our bed fell apart! the headboard and sides of the bed fell off! Luckily my partner is handy and managed to screw everything back together properly with a pair of my eyebrow tweezers! There was no wifi available in our room, you had to sit in the hallway near to the reception to be able to use the internet... not ideal when theres other guests doing the same and people are all sitting around the floor.||||The location of the guest house was great in terms of how close it was to the colosseum however if you are a light sleeper i would not recommend this place. If you want a budget place and literally somewhere to get a shower and put your head down this is the place for you but like i say it is extremely loud from the...
Read moreI don't usually write reviews, but this time I felt like I needed to. This hotel is a gem. It's not your typical hotel and depending on your arrival time there might not be anyone at the reception desk waiting for you. It didn't bother us, because we could speak to the owner via phone and email and she was just as helpful. At first we couldn't find the hotel because we chose the wrong exit when arriving with the metro. The hotel was right across the street and there's actually another metro exit right in front of it. We called Federica - the owner, and she very patiently explained us how to find it, how to open the door and how to find our room. ||||The location is perfect! Just two stops away from the Termini station and a 15 minute walk from the Colosseum. We loved our room. It was very beautiful, spacious and very clean. We booked an economy room for a good price, so our expectations were pretty low, but the room totally exceeded them! Every morning the breakfast was served to our room (this wasn't supposed to be included, but Federica offered it for free). We loved the breakfast! It was very simple, but delicious (cappucino, juice and croissant). The only thing that needs to be mentioned is that it can be quite noisy due to the traffic outside the hotel, but that didn't bother us in the slightest. We spent long days exploring Rome and by the time we were back in our room, we were so exhausted that we fell asleep instantly.||||Overall, we are very happy with our stay and I would definitely go back and recommend it to my friends as well! It's not just the hotel we loved, it's the hospitality we received from the people working there. Federica was so helpful and friendly. She gave us good recommendations about the restaurants nearby, she went out of her way to help us find a police station and you could see how much she cared about her guests. There was another lady there at the reception, who didn't speak so much English, but she was so...
