PALAZZO DEL PAPA B&B — Hotel in Siena

This is NOT a hotel! It is a guesthouse. Having said that, it is a very good option within the city. Gotta love Siena but it is complicated to move around, so being 10 meters from the Piazza del Campo is very nice. Hamza our host was super friendly and nice, he recommended places and got us a cab back. The place is ok but nothing fancy, was not expecting a 5-star joint so I gave it 4 stars because the bathroom was sooo small and with no toiletries. Clean stand spacious and with a nice bed. Although you can hear the neighbors very clearly, in our case it was not a problem. You get your keys and a lot of water and coffee, so that's great too. The space is nice in general, felt like a local since it's a building with other apartments and offices. We had a great time at the Palazzo Del Papa. Hamza was a wonderful host and concierge. The room and common area was spotless. The common area was always stocked with cold water and coffee. Considering that the building was ancient and maybe 100 yards from the Piazza del Campo the rooms were spacious, very nicely renovated and super quiet from outside noise. We had a blast in Siena and we want to come back and will likely stay at this B&B again. Also the pictures posted were from when we checked out at the end of our stay for our reference, the room hadn’t been touched since the previous day by Hamza & not all amenities are shown, like the chocolates and waters that were restocked when cleaning occurred. The location was top notch. It was a short walk from the parking complex outside of the ZTL zone and also a very short walk to all of Siena’s main attractions. The rooms are modern and nicely designed. The bed, pillows and sheets were high quality. We’ve stayed in some nice high end hotels and Palazzo del Papa is right up there in quality and even better service. We are happy we chose it as our base for exploring the Tuscany region. About the service, our host Hamza was exceptional. He was very welcoming and treated us so well during our stay. He made sure we were always comfortable and had everything we needed.
