I came to this restaurant with high expectations due to the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, I wasn’t warmly welcomed — instead, I was met with a rather arrogant look, presumably from the owner. When I mentioned I wanted to dine, he initially said no, but thankfully his kind companion insisted we could stay. He then told us we could eat but had to leave by 9 PM — not the best start. While ordering, he seemed disinterested and rushed, which made us feel unwelcome. I asked for a wine recommendation and whether I could taste it, but he declined, saying he’d have to open a full bottle — something I wouldn’t expect from a place of this supposed caliber. We ordered three steaks, one of which was for my child. Strangely, he didn’t ask how we wanted them cooked — which was especially concerning for my child, who shouldn't eat undercooked. During the meal, no one came by to ask how the food was. The food itself was okay, but I expected much more given the reviews. The rest of the staff seemed to have limited English skills, which is understandable, but the owner, who does speak English, completely missed the mark in terms of hospitality. Sadly, I won’t be returning. On to the next."

Delicious restaurant with great flavours. Had a dinner with vegetarian options from this traditional osteria. As a starter, the artichoke pie with Pecorino and truffle was delicious, the flavour was delicate and felt really fresh. As a first plate, I tried the gnocchi with black cabbage pesto and truffle. I probably would have not added the truffle here, as the pest was already very tasty. I loved the dish in any case. I also took a side dish of Cabbage Flan with Pecorino and it was great. Truly recommend to try this. I am not a sweet tooth but I was curious to try the Hot Ricciarello with Zabaione, custard and chocolate and it was a great choice as it paired great with Vin Santo and splendidly closed the meal . The service was very nice and quick. Overall I had a great dinner, with great vegetarian flavours and highly recommend dining here!

Not to be cliche, but this was truly the best meal in Italy. It had options outside of the typical dishes, and had very reasonable pricing for the delicious food. We had dishes with fresh truffle that were incredible. We had the artichoke tart with pecorino and truffle, gnocchi with cabbage pesto (~12€)and truffle, and steak with truffle (18€). The house wine was excellent. The desserts were incredible, especially the tiramisu and the dessert with the typical Sienese cookie. A free vin santo shot at the end of the meal capped it off nicely. Most of the customers were locals but they were very accomodating with English and Spanish. The kitchen hours may be different from their normal hours on Google.

We where lucky to show up a few minutes before the start of lunch and without reservations where able to eat. Within 30 minutes after they had posted an all full sign and so many people where turned away.

We ordered the Kilo? large T-bone steak and it was delicious. We also tried the Gnocchi (pesto I think) and OMG it was heavenly good. We talked to the couples on each side of us and all of them loved their food. The location of this restaurant is perfect and the staff is so nice = they make you feel like you are in the real heart of Italy.

We will be coming back next year with a large family vacation and staying in Siena for the first time and this restaurant will be at the top of our must do list...
