From the moment we arrived at Ca' Vendramin Zago Hotel, it was clear we were in for a true 5-star experience. As we entered through the stunning oversized front door into the grand foyer, we were immediately captivated by the elegance of the space, adorned with two magnificent 3-tier Murano glass chandeliers that added a touch of Venetian opulence. The warm welcome from the entire team set the tone for what would be an unforgettable stay.
Alessandro deserves special mention for going above and beyond in ensuring our visit to Venice was nothing short of perfect. His personalized suggestions on what to see and do in town were spot on, and he even lent us his personal guidebook from home to assist in our planning. His dedication to making our stay exceptional was evident in every interaction.
Vanessa and Benedetta were invaluable, always ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was bringing us water, setting up the ironing board, or helping us access our safe when we accidentally locked ourselves out, their prompt and cheerful service made us feel truly cared for.
Emiliano was like a personal tour guide, sharing his deep knowledge of Venice with enthusiasm and insight. Tommaso's assistance with our luggage was seamless, and his constant warm greetings added a personal touch that made us feel truly welcomed. Reiza, who kept our room immaculate, brightened our days with her infectious smile and friendly conversations whenever we crossed paths in the hallway. Michela, who made our mornings brighter with her delightful service at breakfast, even took the time to create a smiling face in my coffee, a gesture that perfectly encapsulated the hotel's attention to detail and guest happiness.
Staying at Ca' Vendramin Zago felt like coming home, not just to Venice, but to a new Italian family. The hotel itself is a masterpiece, from the grand entrance to the soaring 30-foot ceilings and Juliette balconies that overlook the canal. It’s easy to feel like royalty here, as if you’ve stepped back in time and are living as a guest in a Doge’s palazzo. This hotel is not just a place to stay; it’s an experience, and one that I cannot wait to relive on my next visit to Venice. Ca' Vendramin Zago has set a new standard for hospitality and luxury—one that will be difficult to surpass.
A great big thank you, or as we say in Italian, Grazie mille. Hai reso il nostro soggiorno eccezionale!...
Read moreThis was my second stay at Hotel Ca 'Vendramin Zago. What a wonderful hotel. Our stay with them was longer on this trip and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, I felt like we were coming home to a familiar private home. Live was outside welcoming us and immediately escorted us to our beautiful room. The hotel used to be a private residence, and we marveled at the beautiful statues, original glorious dining room and our room that was adorned with Murano glass chandelier and the original detailing on the walls. We were greeted each morning with a wonderful breakfast. What a great location. We were able to get to St. Marks square easily, but we were so glad we were in the Cannaregio area that was a bit removed from the bustling St. Marks square. The staff was beyond helpful. Both Live and Allesandro greeted us with a smile on their face when we went to ask them questions. The hotel has a boat, free of charge, that takes guests to Murano. It arrives in front of the hotel and carries us off to the island to see a glass blowing demonstration. No hard sell just a lovely convenient way to travel. During this visit to Venice and my last visit, Alessandro was the best! Always helping us out with directions and wonderful restaurant recommendations. I communicated with him prior to our arrival, and he had made a reservation for us for our first night in the city. Since this was our second trip, we explored the local neighborhoods even more. Don't miss the entire neighborhood that I didn't even know existed that is behind the hotel. A stay at Hotel Ca 'Vendramin Zago will exceed your expectations. Quality of staff, rooms, and the ideal location. If I ever have the bucket list dream of visiting Venice again, this will be my go-to place for accommodations. I will feel like I am visiting old friends that will want to ensure that my time in Venice is unforgettable. Stay there, you will not...
Read moreWe had the opportunity to go to Venice on short notice. Because of the Bienniale architecture show all of the hotels we were familiar were booked. After trying a few apartments for rent we found this hotel on hotels.com and took a chance based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. It is very comfortable and the staff is superior. With their suggestions and help we enjoyed Venice like never before. Instead of rushing from tourist sight to souvenir shop we strolled the unknown fondamentes and sipped wine in out of the way places, only a couple of which were more than two bridges away from our hotel. We dined at restaurants tourists have never known. It was our best experience in Italy to date. Meanwhile, the hotel is a 15th century building. Like all renaissance building in Venice, it is sinking and deteriorating. The owners have done a wonderful job of upgrading the interior spaces and slowing the deterioration. Everything in our room worked perfectly. The lobby was nicely appointed and the rail for a lift chair had been faux painted to blend in with the crumbling marble of the stairs. The best part of this hotel was our staff. Tilly, Beatrice and Leonardo were always ready to help and often suggested ideas we had not yet thought of. It was romantic being in a hotel where the key weighed a Kg and had to be turned in to the front desk when we left. And as an added benefit, it does not have an environmentally friendly sign hanging in the bathroom telling me how important it is for the hotel to change towels only when you leave them on the floor but then the staff changes them anyway. If you hang your towels on the rack they will be there when you return. If you leave them on the floor, they will be changed. It is a lovely place to stay...
