The hosts, Barbara and Sunil were fabulous right from the time we landed to the time we left. Barbara gave us tips and a run down of things to plan/ do for our entire stay on the day of check-in. Sunil helped with all the other stuff esp support at the house whenever needed. The location of the stay couldn't be more perfect, just about 500-600m from the Rialto bridge. There was some noise from a cafe downstairs late nights but it was acceptable. Not as busy/ noisy as say the Rialto area. The room was bright with natural light, well ventilated and had its own charm. For a family of three with a young daughter, it was the perfect stay. AC in the room had some issue but we hardly needed it during our stay as the evening temperatures were pretty good and were keeping the room cool. We did get a stand fan on request one of the evenings when we felt it was a bit warm. Breakfast was a nice balanced one with sandwich, ham, eggs and cheese. Corn flakes/ Muesli, Yoghurt and some fresh fruits. Overall, we felt while being a bit expensive during this season, the stay satisfied our needs to the core. I would definitely recommended this and would comeback...
Read moreI’ve been coming to this delightfully hidden gem in Venice for over a decade and it just gets better. I’ve stayed here for business, as a tourist and with my four children… on every occasion the property offered everything I needed at an unbeatable rate. Tucked into a quiet corner of the bustling city you will find large airy rooms, carefully appointed and decorated. The Family Suite - room n. 3 Doge, is a hard find in Venice and ideal for families with little explorers. Francesca and Barbara are so attentive and helpful that it feels like you are visiting Venetian friends. Sunil at the reception is very kind and helpful in getting you settled in to your rooms. Breakfast is lovely offering everything you need. The prime location is steps from the Rialto bridge and Fish market. Wonderful restaurants, such as the Osteria La Zucca, are just down the street. Visiting La Villeggiatura is the best bed and breakfast we have visited. Perfect for couples, visitors to the Biennale and...
Read moreMy partner and I spent 2 nights at La Villeggiatura and it is safe to say that our time here was simply perfect!
The host Barbara warmly welcomed us, provided a list with some brilliant restaurant recommendations, and even helped with booking tickets to the Doge’s palace and the Basilica which are both around 10 minutes walk from the B&B.
The room was clean, bright and very comfortable. The en-suit bathroom was modern and contained a great shower. Some quality toiletries were kindly provided. The space was also very quiet, a perfect retreat from the loud bustling streets. The air conditioning kept the room consistently cool which was essential during our stay as it was especially hot.
La Villeggiatura is truely perfect place for anyone looking to spend time exploring Venice. Every attention is given to making the stay comfortable and we will certainly be coming back to...
