This hotel is not easy to find as it is on the 5th floor of a building that does not bear any hotel name. Google maps will take you to the greyish factory-like building (which is actually directly opposite the hotel). When we got here, he had to enter a passcode 301 at the elevator to get to the third floor, in order to check-in. After check-in, we were then given our keycard to the 5th floor which is the hotel floor. The building itself is actually a shared office space, so it can be confusing if you don't have the necessary instructions to get to this place. We booked this hotel through hotels.com and didn't receive any instructions from them. It was only after calling +81927225070 and speaking to someone, were we able to figure out where to go. Also, the Google phone number for this hotel ending with 9990 does not work at all. And if you are driving, you won't be able to locate this hotel with either phone number. ||Despite the confusion, we were happy with our choice overall (after eventually locating it) because it's centrally located in a really hip part of the city- the Daimyo area is a small, cool part of Fukuoka, where you can find great food, cafes, bars and shops all around.||Our room was small but so is any boutique hotel room in Fukuoka. It is modern in design, space maximising and has a shared balcony with a pretty view of the area. Overall we have no complaints. Hot water, air conditioning, basic amenities and daily room cleaning service all available. Per night, around USD 330 over a weekend was very reasonable to us. Especially since we got to stay in Daimyo, the "Harajuku of Fukuoka".||I describe this as a speakeasy-ish hotel because of how hidden it is and impossible to find without the above instructions, but when you finally get in, it's quite worthwhile. ||In my photos, you will see what the entrance to the elevator looks like, the hotel being on 5th floor. And the shared office space/check in desk on the third floor (check in time is at 3pm, till 8 pm latest). There is also a store called "glo" right beside the elevator (this is what you should look out for to find the hotel) and the very last picture is where Google maps will take you to if you try to map to this hotel. Just follow the map, but when you arrive, note that the hotel is opposite this factory-like building. ||Overall, a unique and enjoyable accommodation choice for Fukuoka- we would recommend this to those who want to spend less on accommodation but not have to rough it out, and for anyone who prefers experiencing something different from the usual Hotel Stay that a normal tourist...
