I booked on from february 18 to 21, 2023 at Air BnB, i already inform that i will do a late checkin because i’m travelling from tokyo. The operator reply my message that he already do the checkin for me and sent me an entry code for the building main door and also my room number with the entry code for the fully automated door.
As i arrived at the building i use the entry code for the bulding main door in front of the receptionist and it works perfectly but no one is in the reception counter, so i fill the booking form myself because i was inform that i must do that.
After i fill the form, i make my steps to the second floor where i booked my room 201, i then also inputed the door code exactly like they sent me ( 7788 ) and it’s not working! I’ve tried many times and even tried the code to all of the door rooms from 1st to 3rd doors but still not working asuming that they gave me the wrong code for the wrong room.
I patiently wait for them to respond via chat message and event make an international phone call but still no answer at all! We’re waiting from 11pm to 8am in freezing cold with heavy rain inside the building with no heater, no chairs, no one, even that no other guest. there were no hotels or other places we could go to because on the weekends all the hotels were full, early in the morning and there were no taxis
after waiting for hours and no longer able to stand the cold and tired of standing, at 8 am Finally we decide to search for another hotel nearby and found one, The crazy thing is up until 10.30 am they still didn’t respond but suddently they cancelled our booking without event say something! This hotel is very not recommended! They have many around kyoto but not provide us with a decent service!!
This is my worst experience in japan, very traumatic.. I have lots of videos and photos while there, as proof that I really tried to open the room door according to the instructions given. And with conditions like that I really had no choice but to hang in there waiting for the morning and a response from the...
Read moreNot sure so many bad reviews on this hotel. We had a great experience and we found it at a very good price also.
Yes, hotel does not have on-site staff, but they emailed me all the details and asked us for our information very effectively over email in order to “check-in”. CHECK IN: they gave us the codes for the main entrance and the code for the room via email. When we arrived no one was there… we arrived a little early from our checkin time, the cleaning lady kept our bags in the room and we left. GREAT LOCATION. By the river and there is a train station about 10min walk. Few more bus stops as well. Lots of small restaurants and cafes also within 10min walk. We walked to Kyoto Tower from the hotel, it was not far. VALUE. If you are traveling solo, with partner or perhaps a small family, this is a great place. The room was big compared to other hotels, and they hotel staff was very communicative via email with us. I would not recommended for people that are not proficient with LINE, email, and other communication apps as they don not have staff on site, they are only there during a few hours of the day. There is no elevator so if that is important, don't reserve.
Many of the reviews on this hotel are not accurate in my opinion. Im giving 5 starts due to the value you get...
Read moreReached the hotel at 11.45AM to store our luggage (we have called them beforehand), and no one is there, we ended waiting for 20 mins before the cleaner just told us to store the luggage in our room. Managed to check in at night around 8PM, but the room is freezing cold since the heater is not turned on. Waited for 2 hours, and the room is still freezing cold, our toddler can't sleep at all, we decided to book another hotel and checked out. It is around 10 mins from Kyoto station by foot, but please take note there is nothing nearby (no convenience store) and the road is quite dark. Not recommended for...
