Excellent place. Perfect location that's within walking distance to markets, various temples, shrines, shopping, train station, and other historical attractions. Clear communication through email from the hotel. They provided check in information two days prior with code to building and code to room. Very easy and simple check in process. Even though we stayed several nights they wouldn’t offer basic services such providing fresh towels and room cleaning. Communication with the host was extremely difficult as they wouldn’t respond to our request but only refer to a 50 PAGES HOUSE MANUAL that contains various restriction and PAYABLE SERVICES. NONE of this was mentioned on booking and they would only send us this manual AFTER the reservation process on booking was completed with no possibility to cancel it. Stayed here in June. Not worth the value for money, would not recommend. Unhygienic, carpet not cleaned properly especially under the beds there was a thick layer of dust. Dirty earbuds on the floor on arrival. Mould in bathrooms. Faulty taps/sinks. Paid for washing+drying setting in the communal laundry but the drying setting did not work. No service, don't be fooled by the 'reception', the building is completely unmanned, did not see any staff there during my stay to escalate issues. No-one to empty the garbage, no replacement...
